Intelligent Design vs. Macroevolution

This page is a resource for examining the two competing belief systems surrounding the origin of our world and the universe we live in. I am not a scientist nor a Biblical scholar with any degrees, I am simply a mind learning from both sides to work out my position from those with much more experience than I. The debate over origins of the material universe and life, on either side, accept a lot of things by faith.

The scientific community over the past few hundred years has become more and more antagonistic toward belief in God, departing from many of their scientific forefathers who found a symbiotic relationship between faith in God and systematic experimentation and discovery of the physical world in which we live. I believe modern science has become proud and arrogant, enforcing a world view they claim cannot abide the cohesion of science and faith.

Darwin and his Theory of Evolution has become the accepted model, taught as science in school to the exclusion of any other information that either calls into question this theory or offers another scientific model that explains the origins of the  world in which we live.

Thanks to the research of people like Stephen C. Meyer Ph.D., Michael J. Behe Ph.D., Michael Denton Ph.D. and others in the scientific community as well as breakthroughs in scientific discovery, we are finding that the cell is not just a “microscopic lump of jelly-like substance” that is “destitute of texture” and “destitute of organs” with “no trace of organization.” Ref. (See Evolution News article) What can really be expected from that time frame where they had nowhere near the technologically advanced tools science has brought us to date? What we are actually finding is that the simple cell houses an incredibly complex group of micro machinery that reads and duplicates complex code from DNA to build protiens that fold into shapes necessary for life to exist. So complicated is this microscopic world of the cell and so detailed the code that it’s becoming very difficult once you comprehend even some of the details to believe that random chance and mutation brought about the complex life we see today.

I think it’s important first to define clearly what is typically referred to as creation or intelligent design as well as evolution in the context used on this page.

Creation / Intelligent Design

Traditionally this belief is based on faith in the Word of God. That the God who created it all, and was the only one there to witness and tell of its creation, says what He means and means what He says. And that He revealed this information to His prophets to eventually write down and pass on for generations through time. While I hold to the accuracy and validity of the Biblical record of creation by the Creator, this faith-based approach isn’t really going to convince the scientific crowd or anyone without faith. Science is the knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observation. So those who only believe what can be scientifically proven within the limitations of the natural world tend to have a difficult time with faith in God, who exists outside of the natural world of space and time that He created.

What I've become fascinated with is that science itself, in researching how the material universe works, has come to show time and again that what we see in the physical world matches with the Biblical record. Whether geology, paleontology, physics, microbiology, archaeology, etc. we see mounting evidence that the world is vastly more complex and fine-tuned than we ever thought. At some point when putting all these together the odds become imposible for existence without an intelligent mind at the beginning of and cause of it. Regarding this origins debate that is where it is very useful.

“Intelligent design is the idea that we can infer from patterns in nature that some features of living systems are best explained by an intelligent cause, rather than a stochastic process involving chance and necessity.” | Jonathan McLatchie

For instance there have been many molecular biologists and geneticists that have come to believe the theory of evolution can’t explain the origin of information required for life to exist. This area has been deemed the Intelligent Design (ID) movement, whose focus is on the science aspect that pointsI would highly recommend watching the following documentaries that go into much greater detail on this matter, such as Origin: Design, Chance, and the First Life on Earth. You can find more by clicking the related topics button at the top of this page.

Any Biblical researcher should admit that the Bible is not a scientific book. However it was never meant to be, it was meant to teach the spiritually young about the reality of the world into which they were physically born and will die. It was meant to teach spiritual truths that offer its readers the choice to align with the nature of God or reject Him. It was meant to first reveal the Law and expose our departure from God (sin) and then explain how that sin would be covered in the new covenant when we could be reconciled to God for time without end.

Evolution

This is commonly the term used when talking about Darwin's theory. However it should be clarified that there are two main forms of evolution, one of which is scientific and the other which is just a theory without the scientific evidence to back it up.

Microevolution is changes that happen within a type, but the descendant is the same as the ancestor. This variation within a type is scientifically proven and can be caused by environment or managed direction. It's what Darwin observed in the Galapagos with the finches and it's what animal breeders do to produce the best livestock or the breeds of cats and dogs. However, this scientifically repeatable process and observation does not produce other types of descendants from their ancestor.

Macroevolution are changes in type, or kind, where the descendant is different from it's ancestor such that through a multitude of changes over a long period of time it is believed that the observed microevolution turns into macroevolution such that over millions of years a common ancestor evolved into all the variation of life we see today.

The philosophy of macroevolution is more dominant today than in the past, but it also uses science and technology to back up the philosophy. Now many would possibly be offended to the idea of evolution being a religious philosophy, but ultimately I think to be intellectually honest the theory of evolution has an awful lot that has to be taken by faith and there is a hope that one day science will prove it, but to date there is no fossil evidence outside of attempts by some to fake it till they make it.

There are fossils of animals long gone with similar features to other animals so the assumption is made that it's a transitional fossil, but it could just as well be a kind of animal that has never lived in recorded history. The Archaeopteryx is one of those, believed to be a transition between non-avian dinosaurs and birds. This is because fossils of this bird were found and like dinosaurs they had a long, feathered tail and small teeth. They also had flight feathers and wings like a bird and because only these two have a fused clavical bone, bada-bing, transition fossil! Pakicetus is another example from the linked article, where these small land mammals have the same unique inner ear shape as whales. So clearly since the only modern animal with a similar inner ear shape as a fossil, bada-boom, transitional fossil evidence of evolution from a small land mammal to the largest mammal on Earth!

There is a lot of faith in the theories surrounding the scientific datapoints discovered through the scientific method and faith in uniformitarianism, the assumption that the conditions we experience today have always been the same and remain unchanged through all of time. This typically denies catastrophic global changes we’re told about in the Bible that would affect many of those assumptions.

2 Peter 3:3-7
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Any scientist should admit that we still have a lot to learn about the material world, but one of the great things about true science is that mistakes may be made but so will new discoveries. That is, if the scientific community remains intellectually honest. Science, by definition, can only examine the material world and so has its hands tied in even thinking outside that box. So for the atheist, and also the anti-theist, science is a way to puff oneself up and look down on those ridiculous people who trust an old dusty book and imaginary sky God. The idea that science is on their side tends to magnify this pride and help ramp up the mockery.

For the Bible believer, science is a tool to logically experiment within the physical reality we live in, but it will never be able to prove or disprove a creator who existed before and outside of the very space and time that science is restricted to. However I think Stephen C. Meyer’s work in his books building case for the intelligent design of life that he developed in Signature in the Cell, Darwin’s Doubt and now Return of the God Hypothesis, is bringing scientific principals of uniform and repeated experience to point to a source of all that information that builds and holds together the physical world we experience.

“In every case where we have a finely tuned system, whether it’s a French recipe or a mechanical internal combustion engine, we have traced back to its source, and we always come to a mind.” | Stephen C. Meyer

Ultimately I believe both sides can see the same evidence extracted scientifically, but as the blind men and the elephant, each side is locked into a paradigm enforced by either faith in God’s Word or the assumption of uniformitarianism and chance. One has an eyewitness and the other limits their thinking to the physical world they can test, and so denies the existence of the eyewitness and the veracity of His Word on the matter. Hopefully for many who don’t believe, the growing evidence of the Biblical record in archaeology and fine tuned complexity along with work like Stephen Meyer that some will begin to look outside the limited framework and see the eternal Creator reaching out to love them.

I don’t really expect either side of the argument to change on a large scale, but it is important to dispell the misconception that Christians or the Bible they put their faith in are anti-science or that they are somehow unqualified to utilize science to build their faith. While evolutionary scientists can look at the geologic column and date the fossils they find there by the layer they appear in, so too can Christians look at modern catastrophic events and science to see the global layers of sediment and the fossils they contain as evidence for the global flood.

The Spiritual Effect

I believe that the falling away from faith in the end times is in part due to the theory of evolution. It attacks the very foundation of God through supposed “higher reasoning.” In reality, the religious belief of evolution has infiltrated the education system posing as real science and leading young impressionable minds away from God.

The effects of evolution can remove moral standards and promote the “do what you want” mentality because according to evolution, we’re all here by chance and when we die its over. In the words of Aleister Crowley, “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.” Why would one not take full advantage of the time they have? And with the motto of today being “look out for number one,”  it’s not difficult to see how this core belief system can destroy the fabric of society if there is no solid foundation as God gave us in His Word. This is all part of the plan in the works by the spiritual wickedness in high places that I cover briefly in the History of the Mystery of Iniquity.

Of course not everyone who holds the theory of Evolution falls into that trap, but a shockingly large number of people have been murdered through recent history with some form of the theory used as an excuse by dictatorial regemes. If there’s no abosolute moral code then the only repercussions are temporal and if one sees themselves as the fittest, then survival should be persued at any cost.

Furthermore, the evolutionary principles led to Nazi textbooks showing illustrations teaching that black people and Jews were a lower evolved species having “racial features” similar to primates. This dehumanizing of different races and the attempts to purify a master race led to mass exterminations of the “inferior races” and the handicapped during WWII. He was attempting to implement practices to enhance survival of the fittest by eliminating survival of what he considered unfit. Hitler is attributed with the deaths of at least 17 million people, excluding direct war casualties. Among those were 6 million Jews.

“We humans have transgressed the law of natural selection in the last decades. Not only have we supported inferior life-forms, we have encouraged their propagation. The offspring of these sick people looked like this. ... where thousands of drooling imbeciles must be fed and cared for -- individuals lower than any beasts.” | Victims of the Past (Opfer der Vergangenheit) Nazi propaganda film, 1937
“The German Furer...sought to make the practice of Germany conform to the theory of evolution.” | Sir Arthur Keith

Hitler’s was not the only atheist regeme responsible for massive death. Joseph Stalin was responsible for the deaths of 23 million people excluding direct war casualties. Mao Zedong was responsible for the deaths of at least 78 million people excluding direct war casualties. Pol Pot was responsible for between 1 to 3 million deaths out of the 8 million population during his four-year premiership. This last century was the bloodiest in human history at the hand of genocidal mass-murdering governments. While evolution isn’t directly to blame, it’s clear that atheism and lack of accountability to a higher moral standard was.

People may point to atrocities through history done in the name of religion and say it’s an unfair comparison, they did it too. In the case of Christianity, any atrocities committed were inconsistent with the teachings and therefore unfair to place that blame on Christianity. There have been many horrible things done by people claiming to be Christians, but by their fruits you will know them. (Matthew 5:39 | Galatians 5:19-21)

While not all evolutionists are amoral, the foundation of the belief rejects the source of our morals (God) for a naturalistic explanation that requires no restraint. Whether one that holds to the theory of evolution or rejects the existence of God places certain moral restraints on themselves or not then becomes a personal choice with no higher order.

“Evolution destroys utterly and finally the very reason Jesus’ earthly life was supposedly made necessary. Destroy Adam and Eve and original sin, and in the rubble you will find the sorry remains of the son of God...and if Jesus was not the redeemer who dies for our sins, and this is what evolution means, then Christianity is nothing.” | G. Richard Bozarth, American Atheist
“We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs…because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism…Moreover, that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.” | Professor Richard Lewontin, Evolutionary biologist Harvard University
“No ultimate foundations for ethics exist, no ultimate meaning in life exists, and free will is merely a human myth.” | Dr. Will Provine, Evolutionary biologist Cornell University

Putting aside the focus on spiritual implications for Darwin’s generally accepted theory, I’ll just let Darwin himself explain several points...

Re: Evolution not being scientific

“You will be greatly disappointed (by the forthcoming book); it will be grievously too hypothetical. It will very likely be of no other service than collocating some facts; though I myself think I see my way approximately on the origin of the species. But, alas, how frequent, how almost universal it is in an author to persuade himself of the truth of his own dogmas.” | Charles Darwin, 1858, in a letter to a colleague regarding the concluding chapters of his Origin of Species. As quoted in ‘John Lofton’s Journal’, The Washington Times, 8 February 1984.

Re: Do the facts prove evolution?

“For I am well aware that scarcely a single point is discussed in this volume on which facts cannot be adduced, often apparently leading to conclusions directly opposite to those at which I have arrived. A fair result can be obtained only by fully stating and balancing the facts and arguments on both sides of each question; and this is here impossible.” | Charles Darwin, 1859, Introduction to Origin of Species, p. 2. Also quoted in ‘John Lofton’s Journal’, The Washington Times, 8 February 1984

Re: General difficulties with the theory of evolution

“Long before having arrived at this part of my work, a crowd of difficulties will have occurred to my reader. Some of them are so grave that to this day I can never reflect on them without being staggered...” | Charles Darwin, (ed. J. W. Burrow), The Origin of Species (Baltimore, MD: Penguin Books, 1974.), p. 205.

Re: Evolution is a faith not based on evidence

“When we descend to details we can prove that no one species has changed (i.e., we cannot prove that a single species has changed): nor can we prove that the supposed changes are beneficial, which is the groundwork of the theory. Nor can we explain why some species have changed and others have not. The latter case seems to me hardly more difficult to understand precisely and in detail than the former case of supposed change.” | Charles Darwin, 1863.

Re: Evolution is impossible

“To suppose that the eye, with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree.” | Charles Darwin, Origin of Species, 1st Ed., p. 186.

Re: Evolution leads to immorality

“A man who has no assured and ever-present belief in the existence of a personal God, or of a future existence with retribution and reward, can have for his rule of life, as far as I can see, only to follow those impulses and instincts which are the strongest or which seem to him the best ones.” | Charles Darwin, The Morality of Evolution, Autobiography, Norton, p. 94, 1958

Some more quotes on Evolution

“If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.” | Charles Darwin
“I feel most deeply that the whole subject (religion) is too profound for the human intellect. A dog might as well speculate on the mind of Newton. Let each man hope and believe what he can.” | Charles Darwin
“I worked upon the true principles of Baconian induction.” | Charles Darwin, Who is Sir Francis Bacon?
“...Time is the hero of the plot...what we regard as impossible on the basis of human experience is meaningless here. Given so much time, the impossible becomes possible.” | George Wald, Scientific American
“Getting rid of the idea of God freed me up to my erotic desires.” | Bertrand Russell
“[I suppose the reason that] we all jumped at the origin [of species] was that the idea of God interfered with our sexual mores.” | Sir Julian Huxley, Leading Evolutionist of his day and first Director-General of UNESCO
“...Darwin’s theory is...no longer a theory, but a fact...Darwinianism has come of age so to speak. We are no longer having to bother about establishing the fact of evolution.” | Sir Julian Huxley, cited in David Noebel, Understanding the Times
“Evolution is a fact amply demonstrated by the fossil record and by contemporary molecular biology. Natural selection is a successful theory devised to explain the fact of evolution.” | Carl Sagen, The Dragons of Eden
“It is clear that the doctrine of Evolution is directly antagonistic to that of creation. Evolution, if consistently accepted, makes it impossible to believe the Bible.” | Sir Julian Huxley, Leading Evolutionist of his day and first Director-General of UNESCO
“Today, although many educators play it safe by calling evolutionary ideas ‘theory’ instead of ‘fact,’ there is no reputable biologist who doubts that species including Homo sapiens, have developed with time, and that they are continually, though slowly, changing.” | Isaac Asimov, The Wellsprings of Life
“If all animals and man evolved, then there were no first parents, no Adam and Eve, no Eden, no fall of man. And if there had been no fall, then the entire historic fabric of Christianity, the story of the first sin and the reason for an atonement collapsed like a house of cards.” | H.G. Wells
“It is absolutely safe to say that if you meet somebody who claims not to believe in evolution, that person is ignorant, stupid or insane (or wicked, but I’d rather not consider that).” | Richard Dawkins, prominent Oxford scientist and author. Free online e-book: In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood

Psalm 24:1,2
The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
Psalm 136:6
To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Dr. Walt Brown’s Hydroplate Theory:

Huge ‘Ocean’ Discovered Inside Earth - Scientists scanning the deep interior of Earth have found evidence of a vast water reservoir beneath eastern Asia that is at least the volume of the Arctic Ocean.

Evidence from the Grand Canyon

Notice in the picture above that the Grand Canyon actually runs through a mountain range. Did water flow uphill millions of years ago? Or is this evidence of the lake following the flood that was held back by this mountain range until it overflowed the top creating the Grand Canyon? Similar but smaller such formations happened after Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980 and the formations happened very fast as a result of extreme sudden changes.

The Flood: Evidence Against Modern Theory

Scientific dating from layers of sedimentary rock claimed to be millions of years when in actuality it was very quickly at the global flood.

Fountains of the Great Deep Northwest Creation Network

Genesis 7:11-12 on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth

Mid Oceanic Ridges - Global MapThe flood possibly began when the earth’s crust was fractured releasing subterranean caverns of water and magma. The picture at right shows the locations of the mid oceanic ridge which resides all over the world, and are possibly where the earth was globally fractured.

The “springs of the great deep” are believed to be Ogallala Aquiferthe pre-flood subterranean water-table much like those that still exist today in remnant form. Unknown to many, much of the land under our feet resides upon massive ancient bodies of water such as the Ogallala aquifer pictured at left. The Ogallala Aquifer resides under several states in the US, and supplies continuous spring water such as the famous Artesian Wells (et al. Geysers). It is thought that all land masses were positioned upon aquifers at the beginning of creation which supplied free-flowing rivers before the flood. It was these ancient massive aquifers that were triggered to “burst-forth” and flooded the earth. Even though these aquifers were largely depleted, today 40% of the drinking water in the United States comes from these ancient ground waters.

What Started the Flood?

According to the Bible, God decided to destroy the earth by flood because man had become wicked, and in particular due to a race known as the Nephilim. Although the exact mechanism used may never be known, the event that triggered the breech of the “springs of the great deep” may have been caused or accompanied by other catastrophic processes. Evidence of meteor and volcanic activity is interspersed throughout the geological column, and it is presumed by some that perhaps a series of meteor impacts fractured the earth’s crust causing the pre-flood aquifers to flow unrestricted. It can only be presumed what actually caused the flood other than the might hand-of-God, but there were clear and irreversible alterations of both our earth’s crust and atmosphere as a result of the great flood.

Mechanism of Flood Water Recession

A portion of the flood water recession was accomplished by glacial formation. It is almost certain there was proportionally more land available immediately after the flood than there is currently. The ocean levels continue to rise today because of melting of glacial deposits that were formed when the earth was still completely covered in flood water. It is believed the majority of the glacial development, known as the ice ages, formed during the flood, and was responsible for land and ice bridges allowing the post flood migration of animals and humans into regions that are now completely isolated by water (i.e. Bering strait).

Today the earth’s crust has sufficiently uneven elevations so that about 30% remains above the water line, however, if the present contour of the earth’s surface was leveled, the entire planet would still be covered by water to a depth of 9000 feet. Much of the deformation of the earth’s crust has occurred since the deposition of the stratified sediment during the flood. These layers were originally laid in horizontal rows, and have since been folded and forced upward. Therefore most of the tectonic activity responsible for mountain building has been relatively recent, and likely driven by receding flood waters.

Most of the rise in the earth’s land elevation has been due to plate tectonic activity caused by spreading oceans. The continental land masses have been essentially crushed, and slabs of crust have been overthrust or subducted under others causing mountain building, and volcanism. It is presumed by some creationists, that the majority of the ocean bodies are settled flood waters, and it is this accumulation that is driving the spreading of the mid-oceanic ridge and related geological movement. It is believed the oceans have essentially stretched to accommodate the accumulation of the expelled subterranean water, and the pressure of this expanding volume displaced the newly formed layers causing deformations such as folding, and mountain formation.

So in effect, the pre-flood world was all generally around the same elevation with no seas. The ocean trenches are where the water broke through the surface and as the water pressure was released below, the land collapsed under the water’s surface. What used to be dry land became the ocean floor. Dr. John Baumgardner also has presented his work related to understanding the Genesis flood here. This would seem a more logical conclusion than the earth moving from these trenches and account for how the earth could be covered and then the water receded.

This also accounts for the trees found going through geologic column layers of millions of years. Just as flooding sifts debris today very quickly, so too are these things accounted for in a world-wide flood. There is also the clam shells found on mountaintops and the Grand Canyon. More detail on this at Answers in Genesis.

I listened to a fascinating episode of Coast to Coast AM on March 11, 2007 with Wallace Thornhill about the electrical nature of the universe and past cataclysms. Observations of the universe and the sun in particular show characteristics of an electrically charged solar system and universe responsible for solar activity and interaction between planets and the other solar systems in the Milky Way. This has been proven further to be true with the August 2007 alignment of the planets and the effects that could be seen in the weather on the earth. More on that from James McCanney.

One of the observations was that the surface of the sun is much hotter than its core and how sunspots show this cooler internal temperature. If that is really the case, then the core should be the hottest. What this also shows is how all the celestial bodies in the solar system are linked together.

There was another video where Stan Deyo discusses gravity waves and how that causes the orbits of the planets in their resonant paths. See it here. What is fascinating and links all this together is the understanding that all of creation is an electro-magnetic illusion of sorts. Our senses perceive our surroundings by sensing different parts of the electro-magnetic spectrum. Different frequencies on this spectrum are picked up by different senses. This is the active, continual voice of God speaking creation into continued existence.

String theory holds that the smallest particles are little “strings.” their frequency determines how they interact with each other and combine to create atomic structures, which combine to create matter. It seems the whole material reality we know is based in this idea of changing frequency. Indeed, this idea is seen in the first three verses of the Bible, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, ‘Let there be light:’ and there was light.’” God spoke creation into existence. The four dimensions in which we reside was not in existence until God said something. So with string theory, the strings were always there, but until God spoke creation and began to play them like a musical instrument, matter did not exist. God controls all strings across all existence and so upon the beginning notes of His symphonic voice of creation, matter was. I would recommend watching The Elegant Universe.

Research: God did speak world into existence World Net Daily (February 11, 2007)

A science student in Kentucky says when the Bible records God spoke, and things were created, that’s just what happened, and he can support that with scientific experiments. “There are several documented and currently taught laboratory experiments that accurately portray the events in Genesis in sequential order, the most important being that of sonoluminescence,” he wrote.

That, he described to WND, is the circumstance in which sending a sonic signal into bubbles in a fluid causes the bubbles to collapse and they release photons, or create light. That aligns with one of the earlier descriptions of the creation by God, when, in Genesis 1:1-3, the Holy Spirit moved upon the face of the deep, which generally is considered water, and said “Let there be light,” he explained. God was sending a sonic influence into the waters, and basically creating light, Hunt said.

He’s documented his theory, and the experiments he believes back it up, in his “Episteme Scientia, the Law of All That Is.” Researchers at institutions no less than UCLA and the University of Chicago have verified the production of light from bubbles when sound is passed through a liquid, called sonoluminescence.

Hunt said he was spurred on in his work because the advanced physics and other courses he was taking were advancing propositions that sometimes didn’t match up. “The further I went, the more my questions seemed to be being answered in the Genesis record,” he told WND. His abstract states, “An examination of the sequential mathematical and experimental dual proof of the Genesis record of origins underlying the institution of all that is in the universe – from waves to matter to the mind.”

Hunt said science has been proving the Genesis account in classrooms for centuries, “in spite of the fervency to promote evolution and big bang theories.” A student at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Hunt said his questions started very simply. “I asked my professors in physics and chemistry, ‘What if I could scientifically prove that all matter was spoken into existence and that all matter could be manipulated by sound just as Genesis says? Wouldn’t that mean God exists and created the universe?” he asked. “Nobody’s ever done that before,” was the response.

His 84-page treatise, now published, addresses that, he said. Hunt said he believes every event in Genesis can be observed to be happening daily. “Either you experience a universe of chaos or a universe of order and processes that produce immediate and calculable results,” he wrote. “The results of my research support and prove that everything that exists was spoken into existence from waves to matter to mind.”

“My professors think my application of accepted laws and theories may bend the rules a bit, but the ideas are thought-provoking and progressive,” he said. The website describes the integration of several mathematical systems including “Phi, Pi, L-systems, Penrose tiling, and an all-encompassing Koch curve.”

Hunt said his goal was to be able to provide experiments that would explain the Genesis creation story – in the order the Bible records events happened. “Some of my teachers are like, ‘That’s complete hogwash,’” he said, “while others say, ‘That’s pretty interesting.’” His goal is to bring a unity to the Christian community, “just like the founders of our nation expected and wanted from the Constitution.” The documentation of his processes, Hunt believes, could end debate. “People want to know the truth, to have something to stand on that’s not trickery and deceit,” he said. “This gives people something real to touch, hang on to.”

If you doubt the idea of frequency creating structure, here is a cool video of an experiment on this very idea. Notice how different frequencies produce different designs.

Now if we put that together with the idea of string theory, where “strings” vibrating at different frequencies produce atomic structure that build the material world in which we live, and scripture stating God spoke the universe into existence, it begins to make sense. Even miracles like turning water into wine. If Yeshua can affect the subatomic frequencies producing the water, in theory He could speak a new frequency and change the structure and makeup of the water instantaneously.

This next video of Dr. Hans Jenny in his study of Cymatics - study of matters pertaining to waves.

I think this shows how frequency is a very large part of the universe and its makeup and operation. Whether  Here are some more videos on sound and it’s effects on matter:

From the video site: DIY! “I took apart a computer speaker and mounted it with hot glue inside a metal coffee can. Using sinegen.exe, I created waves that warped a liquid mixture. I used water and corn starch in a semi-fluid mixture (not the thickest possible).”

There are no ‘Black Holes’, there is no ‘dark matter’, comets are not ‘dirty snowballs’, the sun is not a ‘nuclear furnace’. THUNDERBOLTS challenges our fundamental assumptions about the workings of the universe, and then offers an alternative vision. Born of empirical science, this vision is startling in its common sense simplicity, and stunning in its reach and ability to make comprehensible both age-old and modern-day mysteries. Recent discoveries in space have amazed and perplexed scientists. Current popular theories in the sciences can neither predict nor explain the phenomena we are now observing. In THUNDERBOLTS, American mythologist David Talbott and Australian physicist Wallace Thornhill and their associates propose a new theory which can both predict and explain these phenomena. 5,000 year old rock art, the origins of world mythology, planetary history, spectacular nebular forms in deep space, and high energy electric discharges in the plasma laboratory -- all are inextricably linked by the Electric Model. In an extraordinary synthesis of the scientific disciplines THUNDERBOLTS presents us with an astonishing new perspective on ancient history and leading-edge astronomy.

Evolution - the Missing Link to Abortion

Thirty-five years ago this week, America joined the ranks of nations engaging in the genocide of its own people. In 1973 the U.S. Supreme Court launched an all-out assault, this time not on a religious or ethnic group, but on victims with no voice, no defense, and no allies. It marks the day that, under the pretense of privacy, the womb became an unfair battlefield for the unborn.

The beginning of America’s toleration for abortion can be traced back to the mid-1800s. It was in 1860 that German college professor Ernst Haeckel, just finishing Darwin’s Origin of the Species, left his physician practice for the study of embryology. So convinced by what he read, Haeckel became one of the most zealous advocates of Darwinism in the nineteenth century.

Nine years later, with no real evidence for evolution, Haeckel devised sketched charts of human developmental stages. By 1875, Haeckel was convicted of fraud in a trial held by his own university. There he admitted to faking his drawings in an attempt to show similarities between the human embryo and that of animals. But today, many biology textbooks still include these charts, purposefully deceiving thousands of students, with no mention of their fraudulent history.

Despite Haeckel’s conviction, his drawings paved the way for the murdering of the unborn. If a human life is nothing more than an animal, it’s no wonder the textbooks refer to the unborn as a mere “blob of tissue.” Haeckel’s sacred cow of evolution is the well-hidden and underlying missing link to abortion.

America often mourns the horror of September 11, 2001 when nearly three thousand lives were tragically taken, yet keeps silent as more than four thousand lives are stolen each day through this evolution-influenced terrorism called abortion. We protest the casualties of war—yet turn our heads away from the 50 million innocent victims of Roe v. Wade. As Christians continue to stand on the sidelines, the Bible is unwavering; God ordained each of us in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5). Christians, it’s time to take a stand –it’s time for a change.

The European Union vs. Intelligent Design Education

From Kevan Myers:

This is a similar link about the same topic:

Dr. Hovind’s seminar addresses various flaws of evolutionary thinking that are used in this attempt to counteract intelligent design. For instance, a major problem lies in the fact that they do not recognize that Evolutionism is also a belief system. Let us consider the tenets of this humanistic religion:

Evolution - Around twenty billion years ago, there was nothing. Then all matter came into being. Where did it come from? They say it doesn’t matter. Then all that matter was squashed into an area possibly the size of a period on a page. This is claimed to be part of Science?

6 parts of evolution

  1. Cosmos evolution - Big Bang The dot got hot and was spinning and then - BANG! Gas (hydrogen and a little helium) spread throughout the universe.
  2. Chemical evolution - From those first two chemical came all the rest of the elements?
  3. Stellar evolution - Then, the gases defy Boyle’s gas law (He was the Father of Modern Chemistry, by the way, a creationist) by compressing themselves into galaxies, planets and stars. Gas doesn’t like to squish. What is making it squish?
  4. Organic evolution - Life from non-life. This was proven impossible by Louis Pasteur (greatest microbiologist and also a creationist). If it is impossible today, what makes us think it was possible back then?
  5. Macro-evolution - Change from one kind to another. Never observed by man.
  6. Micro-evolution - Change within kind. This is not true evolution, but merely variation within it kind. See the poodle, great dane, collie, bulldog, some variety, but all dogs. They don’t turn into frogs.
Only the last of the 6 is part of science, and it sides with the repeated Scripture passage, “after his kind.” All the rest are religious. They must be believed. It takes more faith to believe in evolution, than in creation.

I believe that the evidence for creation is so strong, that (according to Romans 1:20) those who reject the Creator and Savior of mankind “are without excuse.” Both Creation and Evolutionism are based on Faith. When you look at real science, it actually agrees much better with the Scriptures than Evolutionism. But the followers of Evolution lie and claim their viewpoint is actually science. How ludicrous to say that matter made itself. God tells us He made the universe.

Most of the branches of scientists that we study today were founded by men who believed in Creation. Additionally, there are many scientists today that also believe in a young earth creation and the Bible. You can look for information on this at www.icr.org and www.answersingenesis.org.

It has been said that no real scientist would reject creation if it was a reasonable theory. So let’s look at Sir Julian Huxley. He was a grandson of Thomas Huxley,) who is called “Darwin’s bulldog.” Thomas was Darwin’s biggest promoter.

Sir Julian was a biologist, and a world leader in promoting evolution ideals. Don’t you think with that background, he’d have an idea of what he was talking about? The year he died (1975), he was asked in a TV interview, “Why have so many scientists been so quick to adopt Darwin’s theory of evolution?”

Rather than respond with a scientific evidence or logical argument, Sir Julian replied, “The reason we scientists all jumped at The Origin of Species was because the idea of God interfered with our sexual mores.” The source for this quote is called The Collapse of Evolution, by Scott M. Huse pg.157

Julian’s brother Alduous has a very similar quote in pg.270 of his book Ends and Means, “I had a motive for not wanting the world to have a meaning...For myself, the philosophy of meaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation, sexual and political.” You can look up the whole quote.

It is a good question. If there is no Creator, where do we find the standard of what is right and what is wrong?

How big the world is can be shown through measurement and science. But evolution is not proven. The fact that the universe has all its stars, comets and galaxies punctures a hole in the “big bang.” If the theory calls for the matter (which they say was Hydrogen and Helium) to disperse evenly, there should be no clumps of anything according to Boyle’s gas laws. No planets, comets, galaxies, stars, earth, etc. This is a big problem for the “big bang.” Evolution struggles against the laws of science. If only they would realize: “There are laws; there must be a Lawgiver!”

God says “...he made the stars also” (Genesis 1:16).

Let’s take a closer look at organic evolution: Evolutionists have a problem when it comes to life...

They believe that non-living matter can become living. This was a common belief in the days of Darwin. It was considered that flies spontaneously come from rotten meat, and that rats will arise from piles of dirty rags. But Louis Pasteur, a great scientist in biology and microbiology disproved that belief. Life comes from life.

Today in public schools, he is lauded and applauded. Spontaneous generation was proven false, the students are told. Then they are taught that spontaneous generation DID happen millions of years ago. Why should we think that something impossible now was possible then? How does that follow scientific reasoning? And they don’t let the students know that Louis Pasteur believed in creation as stated in Scripture and believed on Jesus as Saviour from sin. Pasteur vehemently opposed Darwin’s theory, as did many other great men of science, including his friend Henri Fabre, the “Father of Entomology (study of insects).”

To be educated, you should look at both sides of the issue and make a wise choice of what to believe. Most people in the world are only exposed to the Evolution viewpoint, and thus are not truly educated. They are indoctrinated, which is different. I believe that when you look at science, it actually points to the accuracy of God’s Word. Louis Pasteur, this man through whose research (in diseases and immunization) hundreds of thousands of lives have been saved, said of science, “A little science estranges men from God, but much science brings them back to God.”

Now, we must understand that the EU stance on Creation is not new. There has been a long war against the truth of Creation. People do not want to answer to a Creator, so they deceive themselves and others into thinking there is no Creator (Romans 1:20-22). They get fooled into thinking that:
  • - Evolution is part of science.
  • - The Bible is not to be considered for public policy.
  • - Evolution is needed to be able to fight disease, etc. (how ridiculous!)
  • - That real scientists do not believe in creation as stated in the Bible.
  • - Christian fundamentalists are dangerous to society.
  • - The Bible does not have the answers.
What can be done about it? Here is a list of what to do in response to the EU stance on creationism. The best way to get armed in this form of battle is to make sure YOU are ready:
  1. Make sure you know the Creator, Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3;12) as your Savior from sin (John 6:47).
  2. Stay close to Him, spending daily time in prayer and Bible study. Wisdom comes to those who ask God for it (James 1:5) and search His Word (Psalm 119:98). Follow the instruction of Psalm 1. Walk with godly friends (Proverbs 13:20). Be an example to those around you (I Timothy 4:12).
  3. Pray for those in the EU (I Timothy 2:1-8).
  4. Equip yourself with knowledge about the controversy. Get good books and videos so you can learn, so that you can share (II Timothy 2:2). You can order many tools from us, if you like. Here are just a couple...
    1. 7 part Creation Seminar DVD set from us - (watch closely, holding a copy of the EU statement) it covers many points that the EU try to make.
    2. The Long War Against God, by Henry Morris - backtracks the history of this war, so you know the background.
  5. Are you in Europe, Phillip? If so, then it is your duty to make known your stand with those who hold office above you. That is true, no matter what nation you are in. Evil prevails when good men do nothing. The leaders need to know what their people think. If nobody calls, or voices their opinion, the official will think everyone agrees with the said platform. Either that or he/she will believe the public don’t think it is that important. God is looking for someone to stand in the gap (Ezekiel 22:30). Will you be that man? In you are not in Europe then do the same for your own nation. Keep up with your congressmen, get to know them, pray for them, share information with them, show proper Christian respect, and keep them accountable.
  6. Speak out. Share with all you can about the truth that evolutionism is actually not science but a religious world view, and let them know about evidence of creation and the Bible. Give them places they can learn for themselves (for example on the web: www.drdino.com, www.icr.org, www.answersingenesis.org).
The EU is not the enemy (though they may be working for him). Have as your goal to introduce people to the truth so they will turn to the Creator and be saved from Hell. If one is saved, it is a great victory!

Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Resolution 1580 (October 4, 2007)

The dangers of creationism in education

1. The aim of this resolution is not to question or to fight a belief – the right to freedom of belief does not permit that. The aim is to warn against certain tendencies to pass off a belief as science. It is necessary to separate belief from science. It is not a matter of antagonism. Science and belief must be able to coexist. It is not a matter of opposing belief and science, but it is necessary to prevent belief from opposing science.
(my comments highlighted below) Evolution is a belief, not science yet that is allowed to be taught. At least the Bible tells the Truth about the history of mankind and our future. However, in a doubting and self-indulgent and self-centered generation that message is not acceptable. There’s a reason God gave us the Law, as shadows of Love. Evolution is based on the Baconian scientific method that only believes what is measurable or perceived with the five senses. This eliminates the spiritual realm, even though it’s a daily part of life and manifest in the individual actions of each person in their environment. There is no proof of evolution, no fossil record showing evolution between animal kinds. In fact their whole dating system is circular dating the fossils from their layers and the layers from the fossils found in them. These layers were caused by the global flood they deny because if it is true then there is a God and consequences for actions. Aleister Crowley’s “motto of do what thou wilt” has just added onto this spirit of iniquity working to deceive mankind. If they would examine the actual scientific physical evidence they would see that the stories of the Bible are true. Ron Wyatt found chariot wheels at the bottom of the Red Sea and Mt. Sinai in accordance with the literal reading of God’s Word.
2. For some people the Creation, as a matter of religious belief, gives a meaning to life. Nevertheless, the Parliamentary Assembly is worried about the possible ill-effects of the spread of creationist ideas within our education systems and about the consequences for our democracies. If we are not careful, creationism could become a threat to human rights, which are a key concern of the Council of Europe.
A threat to human life? God created the heavens and the earth when He spoke them into existence. Everything we see and hear is the result of frequencies on the Electro-Magnetic spectrum. Frequency is how we communicate with our voice. Our eyes cannot perceive all of the spectrum and our ears cannot hear it all either, yet it is there. We can measure it with scientific instruments. How much more of what is can we not see or hear? I AM is beyond our perception and our very ability to perceive is because He is. “I AM” is a statement of existence. Our visible three dimensions and the fourth of time are all a part of existence, yet He is bigger than time and space and dwells outside of time. It is His handiwork that our “science” is slowly uncovering, yet we puff ourselves up and imagine a world that could have been without Him. There is no existence outside of Him but the place prepared for the fallen angels and you do not want to get your wish of an eternity without God, He will grant your desire. Be careful what you wish for because you may just get it.
3. Creationism, born of the denial of the evolution of species through natural selection, was for a long time an almost exclusively American phenomenon. Today creationist ideas are tending to find their way into Europe and their spread is affecting quite a few Council of Europe member states.
Prove the evolution of species through natural selection with any scientific evidence.
4. The prime target of present-day creationists, most of whom are of the Christian or Muslim faith, is education. Creationists are bent on ensuring that their ideas are included in the school science syllabuses. Creationism cannot, however, lay claim to being a scientific discipline.
I would say the same thing about the evolutionists trying to force their theories without proof on children that go against the evidence of the Truth in the Biblical record seen in the Grand Canyon and in Biblical stories with archaeological evidence.
5. Creationists question the scientific character of certain areas of knowledge and argue that the theory of evolution is only one interpretation among others. They accuse scientists of not providing enough evidence to establish the theory of evolution as scientifically valid. On the contrary, creationists defend their own statements as scientific. None of this stands up to objective analysis.
Yet it’s OK for the evolutionists to continue teaching their lies in the textbooks?
6. We are witnessing a growth of modes of thought which challenge established knowledge about nature, evolution, our origins and our place in the universe.
So we should combat new more detailed understanding because it undermines the incomplete knowledge of those that examined the universe by such limited means? Didn’t they say the earth was flat? God’s Word always said it was round.
Isaiah 40:22
It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
But that’s all foolishness, right? How about String Theory or the Electric Universe model. These both greatly challenge modern science through greater ability to see the unseen universe through experimentation and mathematics. But science is too proud to admit wrong and too willing to be without God to admit to discovering His handiwork. I feel sorry for them.
7. There is a real risk of serious confusion being introduced into our children’s minds between what has to do with convictions, beliefs, ideals of all sorts and what has to do with science. An “all things are equal” attitude may seem appealing and tolerant, but is in fact dangerous.

8. Creationism has many contradictory aspects. The “intelligent design” idea, which is the latest, more refined version of creationism, does not deny a certain degree of evolution. However, intelligent design, presented in a more subtle way, seeks to portray its approach as scientific, and therein lies the danger.

9. The Assembly has constantly insisted that science is of fundamental importance. Science has made possible considerable improvements in living and working conditions and is a rather significant factor in economic, technological and social development. The theory of evolution has nothing to do with divine revelation but is built on facts.

10. Creationism claims to be based on scientific rigour. In reality the methods employed by creationists are of three types: purely dogmatic assertions; distorted use of scientific quotations, sometimes illustrated with magnificent photographs; and backing from more or less well-known scientists, most of whom are not specialists in these matters. By these means creationists seek to appeal to non-specialists and spread doubt and confusion in their minds.

11. Evolution is not simply a matter of the evolution of humans and of populations. Denying it could have serious consequences for the development of our societies. Advances in medical research, aiming at combating infectious diseases such as Aids, are impossible if every principle of evolution is denied. One cannot be fully aware of the risks involved in the significant decline in biodiversity and climate change if the mechanisms of evolution are not understood.

12. Our modern world is based on a long history, of which the development of science and technology forms an important part. However, the scientific approach is still not well understood and this is liable to encourage the development of all manner of fundamentalism and extremism. The total rejection of science is definitely one of the most serious threats to human and civic rights.

13. The war on the theory of evolution and on its proponents most often originates in forms of religious extremism closely linked to extreme right-wing political movements. The creationist movements possess real political power. The fact of the matter, and this has been exposed on several occasions, is that some advocates of strict creationism are out to replace democracy by theocracy.

14. All leading representatives of the main monotheistic religions have adopted a much more moderate attitude. Pope Benedict XVI, for example, as his predecessor Pope John-Paul II, today praises the role of science in the evolution of humanity and recognises that the theory of evolution is “more than a hypothesis”.

15. The teaching of all phenomena concerning evolution as a fundamental scientific theory is therefore crucial to the future of our societies and our democracies. For that reason it must occupy a central position in the curriculums, and especially in the science syllabuses, as long as, like any other theory, it is able to stand up to thorough scientific scrutiny. Evolution is present everywhere, from medical overprescription of antibiotics that encourages the emergence of resistant bacteria to agricultural overuse of pesticides that causes insect mutations on which pesticides no longer have any effect.

16. The Council of Europe has highlighted the importance of teaching about culture and religion. In the name of freedom of expression and individual belief, creationist ideas, as any other theological position, could possibly be presented as an addition to cultural and religious education, but they cannot claim scientific respectability.

17. Science provides irreplaceable training in intellectual rigour. It seeks not to explain “why things are” but to understand how they work.

18. Investigation of the creationists’ growing influence shows that the arguments between creationism and evolution go well beyond intellectual debate. If we are not careful, the values that are the very essence of the Council of Europe will be under direct threat from creationist fundamentalists. It is part of the role of the Council of Europe’s parliamentarians to react before it is too late.

19. The Parliamentary Assembly therefore urges the member states, and especially their education authorities to:
19.1. defend and promote scientific knowledge;

19.2. strengthen the teaching of the foundations of science, its history, its epistemology and its methods alongside the teaching of objective scientific knowledge;

19.3. make science more comprehensible, more attractive and closer to the realities of the contemporary world;

19.4. firmly oppose the teaching of creationism as a scientific discipline on an equal footing with the theory of evolution and in general the presentation of creationist ideas in any discipline other than religion;

19.5. promote the teaching of evolution as a fundamental scientific theory in the school curriculums.
20. The Assembly welcomes the fact that 27 academies of science of Council of Europe member states signed, in June 2006, a declaration on the teaching of evolution and calls on academies of science that have not yet done so to sign the declaration.
