News for May 1, 2007A History of the Mystery of Iniquity Already at Work Today Genesis 3:1 I have recently begun coming across seemingly related stories that I believe may be God exposing the spirit of this world to those watching. So I would like to share that with you. If you agree, share it with others. We see in the above scripture the association of the serpent with Satan. Our relationship with sin is similar to a snake eating its prey. It swallows us whole, surrounding us while it slowly eats away at us until we are no more what we used to be. Subtle is crafty and smooth, the type that can and do take advantage of others for their personal gain and corrupt the minds of innocents with thoughts and ideas from the dark side of the spirit realm. What is so effective about this force is how subtle it really is, yet how damaging it has become. As you will see, these dark sentences can be traced back to particular people and times in history, all working to systematically destroy the foundation of God and family the most effective way, the education of young impressionable minds. I just watched a story on the news showing the absolute corruption in politics that both sides are engaging in. My friends, it pains me to see this information, but given what God has shown me in my search for Truth leading to this point, I can no longer deny some of the things I'm learning that fit with Bible prophecy. I accept that a fallen angel of light is more crafty and subtle than the greatest minds of humanity out there because he has crept in ideas of cancer that are eating away at the very values of God and catering to to the selfishness and pride of willingly ignorant men and women.
We are seeing the result in the news daily. I would like to share what God has shown me, decide for yourself. Could it be that the master of deception has pulled the wool over our eyes from before our fathers' were born? Having the limited experience of not existing when those plans were put into place, it is easy to see how generations can be misled with simple thoughts that focus on self-fulfillment of worldly pleasures. Today's world has been blinded to reality by spiritual ideas in direct contradiction to God's Word, narrowing our focus to only the material and therefore keeping our minds on those things. This is the battle for the hearts and minds of humanity. I hope to share a trail of spiritual darkness in recent history that I believe has led us to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy and the love of many being so cold, the mystery of iniquity. Ephesians 6:11,12 What are some examples of spiritual things? Read Galatians 5:13-26 Our emotions are expressed physically, but the thoughts and the emotions themselves have no physical properties. I believe that thought is the voice of the spirit realm. Thoughts are not bounded by time. They pass from generation to generation. We can see how thoughts and ideas can potentially corrupt the spirit of an individual. That's why we must guard our thoughts. However, the serpent is more subtle and so is the sin that is eating out this world. The cancer is becoming evident in the daily news. It all started by pulling the wool over the eyes of the world with ideas that focused on fulfilling the desires of the flesh, denying the spiritual and the God who created them both, and doing so under the cloak of science. The earliest in recent history I've tracked back is with Sir Francis Bacon (1561-1626). What first led me to examine this man was Francis Bacon: The History of a Character Assassination, written by Nieves de Madariaga Mathews (1917-2003). Who is she? Herb L. Peters's and Constance Cumbey's research into Javier Solana (1942-) led me to Nieves, who also happens to be Javier Solana's mother. Sir Francis Bacon is also responsible for the scientific method and has been credited as the creator of the English essay and since the 1800s, some scholars have suggested that Bacon was the author of works attributed to Shakespeare. Understanding that the spiritual world cannot be perceived scientifically (i.e. It is based on gathering observable, empirical, measurable evidence, subject to specific principles of reasoning) and relying on just what is perceived with the physical senses focuses you on just the physical. Teaching this methodology in the school system brainwashes whole generations of children to only accept what they can perceive while failing to teach the spiritual things. This manifest as bigger problem once God was further attacked by the separation of church and state myth in more recent times. He knew how to write and those writings, thoughts and ideas are still around today. Those principles make up much of the scientific community today. This also connects to secret societies and the New World Order and America's beginnings. Charles Darwin (1809-1882) furthered the focus on the physical by providing an explanation of existence that didn't need a God and focused on survival of the fittest, a kind of every-man-for-himself attitude. I feel this corrupts young minds who are taught this idea without an understanding of the spiritual. They view their lives as short times that must be taken advantage of before death. This attitude subtly promotes self and fulfilling the desires of the flesh in the material world while caring less and less for others and blindly walking off the cliff of eternity away from the love of God by their own choices. We must guard our minds and our thought life because our choices we have come from what we experience, learn, and search out. As to the creation vs. evolution debate, it was over before anyone started arguing. Darwin himself is quoted as saying the idea was not supported by the facts. Guess what else, he was influenced by someone's thoughts. "I worked upon the true principles of Baconian induction." --Charles Darwin More recently, the negative spiritual influence of Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) further corrupted minds all over the world and continues to do so by spreading the thoughts and ideas that are destroying the spirits of our fellow man subtly under the cloak of music. Please watch They Sold Their Souls For Rock N' Roll. We all know that music helps memorization. The only reason I remember the books of the Bible is because I can sing the song. Many people "don't listen to the lyrics" not realizing that whether they like it or not, the words are changed in their mind like a mantra over and over. A word of caution, Nazi Germany's Minister for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda Joseph Goebbels said, "If you tell a lie big enough, and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." The big lie. I think there's a reason Nazi Germany became such a threat. It's interesting that anti-Semitism was behind it as well. That seems to be a commonality with many things that point to the subtle serpent. Aleister's mantra was "do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law." If you would like further insight into the details of the modern New Age movement please read Constance Cumbey's books, THE HIDDEN DANGERS OF THE RAINBOW: The New Age Movement and our Coming Age of Barbarism (1983); A PLANNED DECEPTION: The Staging of a New Age Messiah (1986).
Anti-Semitism is rearing it's ugly head again through Islam. They are using the same principle as Hitler to claim rights to "Palestine" and cause all the problems in the Middle East. But they yell the loudest and blow themselves and others up. This is a religion of death and hell follows after it. The world has taken their side mostly and tend to blame Israel for taking the land. The facts are conveniently ignored. Unfortunately, the facts are usually not chanted as loudly because they don't have an agenda, they just are. That is where we come in and why you're reading this now. when confronted with the lies, we must have an answer of Truth. So in my research, several commonalities showed up. Javier Solana, the head of the European Union and effective foreign minister of Europe, has connections to the occult through his mother who defended Sir Francis Bacon in her book. I wonder what kind of influence a mother has on a growing son? Looking at what thoughts Sir Francis Bacon brought to humanity I began to notice an occult connection to everything. This is the mystery of iniquity working on a large scale to control the masses on a scale they don't expect because it is outside their own limited perspective, not only of space, but time. 2 Thessalonians 2:6-12 Perhaps you already knew all this history, for me the connections are fairly new and are just now coming together. The ramifications lend credence to the HIStory, Our Future collection of Bible studies that show we are much closer to the end than most Christians are aware. Indeed if that study is accurate, we have two years to raise awareness in those we can reach with the Truth. Importance of Watching I am a watchman on the wall. God has put me here for such a time as this to share what He is showing me. I am an imperfect vessel, but so are we all. Yet God loves each one of us with an everlasting love. He wants a stronger thought life with us because He has much to show us. Let us focus on the spiritual task at hand of awakening the bride of Christ together and reaching the lost with the Gospel. We are one body and we all play different parts. However, God speaks to us each individually if we listen. He speaks in a still, small voice which means you must quiet the distractions of the world and get alone with God. Let us come together in Spirit and Truth under the direction of the Word of God to accomplish our individual roles dictated to us by our King, and as future kings and priests sharing the love of God with the lost and needy who will hear. Let our understanding of the nearness of the Lord's coming awaken us to trim our lamps and let our light shine expressing God's goodness in our neighborhoods. Lord, I pray that you open the eyes of us that love and obey you to your plans as written in Your Word that it would be fulfilled that you tell your friends what you are doing. Your plans are perfect and we give our burdens to you. We give you our plans and desires in exchange to hear your plans and desires for us. Teach us to listen better to your voice. We believe you can speak to us and we want to fulfill your will. We repent of those things not of You and ask that you reveal them to us in the coming weeks. Remove those thoughts planted by the enemy and return our childish innocence as we rely on You in all things. Proverbs 3:5-7
Ashkenazi: Hizbullah trying to cross into southern Lebanon
(April 29, 2007) - Even as the country was
awaiting the Winograd Committee's report into why ground troops were not
introduced into Lebanon last summer, chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi
Ashkenazi indicated at the weekly cabinet meeting Sunday that there may
be no choice but to put IDF boots on the ground to stop attacks from Gaza.
After telling the cabinet that the military buildup of Hamas was continuing,
and that Hamas had also begun active involvement in attacks against Israel,
Ashkenazi said that if this situation continued "there would be no
choice but to stop it, as the prime minister has said." Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert, who is expected to be criticized by the Winograd Committee
Monday over his handling of the summer's Second Lebanon War, said at the
opening of the meeting that while Israel was not interested in an escalation
with the Palestinians, "we will not in any way be prevented from taking
the necessary steps to stop those who are trying to harm Israeli citizens
in the South." During the meeting, Olmert said that one question that
needed to be asked regarding a possible incursion into Gaza was what would
happen the minute the IDF pulled out. He said that Israel needed to work
intensively with the international community and Egypt in an effort to stop
Hamas's military buildup before taking military action. Ashkenazi said that
it was difficult to call the situation that had existed in Gaza over the
last five months a truce, as Hamas called it, since there have been some
250 firings of rockets and mortars on Israel, and in addition there have
been numerous attempts to infiltrate into Israel, fire on soldiers and set
roadside bombs. Regarding Lebanon, Ashkenazi said that Hizbullah was only
one government minister away from being able to veto the moves of the Lebanese
government, something that was significant since the government would be
called upon in the near future to renew the mandate of the UNIFIL force
in southern Lebanon. Ashkenazi said that Hizbullah was trying to move forces
south of the Litani River, and was having better luck penetrating cities
in the area, rather than open spaces where UNIFIL forces blocked their penetration.
While praising the coordination that exists between Israel and UNIFIL, Ashkenazi
bewailed the continued smuggling of arms across the Lebanese-Syrian border,
and said that Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora was not powerful enough
to send an effective monitoring force to the long border. more... Now what on earth would Iranian Hizbullah be wanting to get to Southern Lebanon for?
The Countdown Has Begun (April 29, 2007)
- The intelligence information gathered by the Unites States regarding Iran's
technological breakthrough that could lead Teheran to an atom bomb in less
than three years bodes well with President George Bush's political desperation.
The new intelligence indicates that Iran is making accelerated progress
in acquiring the required amount of enriched uranium for assembling its
first nuclear bomb. Until recently, American intelligence estimated that
this would only happen in 2015. Now US intelligence is falling into line
with its colleagues in Israel and is estimating that an Iranian bomb can
be expected as early as 2010. Contrary to the war in Iraq, the American
public does indeed view Iran as a real threat. The combination of a radical
religious regime and weapons of mass destruction is America's worst nightmare.
Publication of the information is part and parcel of the imminent beating
of war drums: On the one hand the Bush Administration is building a significant
naval force along the Iranian coast, and on the other it is signaling to
the public that the Iranian threat is approaching in great strides. When
the information was revealed on CBS, senior officials at the Pentagon were
quoted as saying that now there will be more pressure on Israel to carry
out a preventative strike on Iran, just as it did in 1981 in Iraq. And indeed
less than two days elapsed since the publication and Israel's prime minister
was quoted in the German weekly Focus as outlining the possibility of such
an attack, which would include firing 1,000 cruise missiles in 10 days.

Leave Iraq, Sadr tells "Antichrist" Bush
(April 28, 2007) - The powerful Iraqi cleric
and militia leader Moqtada al-Sadr called President George W. Bush the Antichrist
on Saturday and urged him to heed calls by the opposition Democrats to
withdraw from the chaos of Iraq. In fresh violence on Saturday, 14 people
were killed and 39 others were wounded in a suicide car bombing in the holy
Shi'ite city of Kerbala south of Baghdad, a hospital said. A Reuters witness
said he saw tens of casualties. Sadr, whose ministers quit Shi'ite Prime
Minister Nuri al-Maliki's government this month, renewed his demand for
a U.S. pullout a day after Bush pledged to veto legislation that would require
U.S. troops to begin leaving Iraq by October 1. Calling Bush "the greatest
evil," Sadr said in a letter read out by a Sadrist MP in parliament
that an eventual U.S. pullout would be a "victory for the Iraqi people." "Here
are the Democrats demanding that you withdraw at least with a timetable
and you are stubborn against them," said Sadr, whose Mehdi Army militia
fought two uprisings against U.S. forces in 2004. "You are like the
one-eyed Antichrist. You look with one eye and refuse to look with the other,"
he told Bush. more... The masters of propaganda have achieved the goal of setting America against herself. All they had to do was scream injustice whilst blowing themselves up and committing acts of terrorism to scare everyone into submission and obedience to the every whim of those trying to control and shape society. Once the mystery of iniquity cut out the recognition of the spiritual in the West, it became easier to use the fear of death to manipulate the masses. Truth be told, there is no amount of big brother that will completely protect society from evil people. But evil people in control of the structure of big brother is an even greater threat as the world will find out once the antichrist has control of it. And no, I don't believe Bush is the antichrist. It's a convenient propaganda tool that the enemy can use though thanks to the power of the fear of death in the western world that doesn't recognize their eternal souls or are not comfortable with the state of their eternal souls. The threat of death has much sway over these, and it's interesting that a religion of death is bringing the war, terrorism, and death. A history of the mystery of iniquity already at work today Widow of slain Christian: 'Forgive them' (April 28, 2007) - In an act that hit the front pages of the largest newspapers in Turkey, the widow of a martyred Christian told reporters she did not want revenge against the Muslims who killed her husband and two others, according to a new report from Voice of the Martyrs. "Oh God, forgive them for they know not what they do," she said, agreeing with the words of Christ on Calvary (Luke 23.34), according to a letter Christians in Turkey have written to the worldwide church, a letter released through Voice of the Martyrs. "In a country where blood-for-blood revenge is as normal as breathing, many many reports have come to the attention of the church of how this comment of Susanne Tilman has changed lives," the letter said. "One columnist wrote of her comment, 'She said in one sentence what 1,000 missionaries in 1,000 years could never do.'" She is the widow of Tilman Geske, a German citizen who along with two Turkish Christians were martyred recently – allegedly by five Muslims who met the three victims at a Christian publishing company for a Bible study. Authorities have taken several suspects into custody, and their cases remain pending. The letter titled "A letter to the Global Church from The Protestant Church of Smyrna" was received by VOM shortly after the slayings, and the ministry organization that works with the Persecuted Church worldwide is publicizing it. "The Voice of the Martyrs has already been actively involved in assisting the families of these courageous Christians. We encourage you to pray for them as they grieve, and to pray that this will be a significant turning point for the gospel in Turkey," the organization said. more...
Missing Bees, Cell Phones and Fulfillment of Bible Prophecy
(April 27, 2007) - Bees have been disappearing
at an alarming rate. Learn how these missing bees relate to the use of cell
phones, and the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. David Bradshaw has endured
countless stings during his life as a beekeeper, but he got the shock of
his career when he opened his boxes in January 2007 and found half of his
100 million bees missing. In 24 states throughout the United States, beekeepers
have gone through similar shocks as their bees have been disappearing inexplicably
at an alarming rate, threatening not only their livelihoods but also the
production of numerous crops, including California almonds, one of the nation's
most profitable. Pennsylvania beekeeper Dave Hackenberg was the first beekeeper
to report to bee researchers what's become known as Colony Collapse Disorder
(CCD). The sudden mysterious losses are highlighting the critical link that
honeybees play in the long chain that gets fruit and vegetables to supermarkets
and dinner tables across the country. Beekeepers have fought regional bee
crises before, but this is the first national affliction. The theory is
that radiation from mobile phones interferes with bees' navigation systems,
preventing the famously home-loving species from finding their way back
to their hives. Improbable as it may seem, there is now evidence to back
this up. Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), occurs when a hive's inhabitants
suddenly disappear, leaving only queens, eggs and a few immature workers.
The vanished bees are never found, but thought to die singly, far from home.
The parasites, wildlife and other bees that normally raid the honey and
pollen left behind when a colony dies, refuse to go anywhere near the abandoned
hives. CCD has since spread to Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy
and Greece. And John Chapple, one of London's biggest bee-keepers, announced
that 23 of his 40 hives have been abruptly abandoned. The implications of
the spread are alarming. Most of the world's crops depend on pollination
by bees. Albert Einstein once said that if the bees disappeared, "man
would have only four years of life left". German research has long
shown that bees' behavior changes near power lines. Now a limited study
at Landau University has found that bees refuse to return to their hives
when mobile phones are placed nearby. Dr Jochen Kuhn, who carried it out,
said this could provide a "hint" to a possible cause. Revelation
6:6, "Then I heard what sounded like a voice
among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's
wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage
the oil and the wine!" Although the Bible plainly speaks
of great famine in the last days, the prophetic words of Revelation 6:6
states that the olive and grape harvest will not be damaged. In general,
breeders have assumed that grapes were either completely self- fertilizing
or were cross-pollinated by wind, so that in either case insects were considered
of no value. The grape harvest will not be affected by the missing bee population.
Bees and other insects play a minor role in olive pollination; wind moves
most of the pollen from tree to tree. Most olive varieties are self-fertile,
but increased production often results from cross pollination. And neither
will the olive harvest be affected by CCD. Grape and olive oil production
will only be minimally impacted by Colony Collapse Disorder while much of
the fruit, vegetable and nut production will be severely reduced resulting
in famine. These end time biblical prophecies are coming to pass within
our own lifetimes demonstrating once again that the Word of God is true
and to be trusted.
Christians in bull's-eye in new 'hate crimes' plan
(April 26, 2007) - A fast-tracked congressional
plan to add special protections for homosexuals to federal law would turn "thoughts,
feelings, and beliefs" into criminal offenses and put Christians in
the bull's-eye, according to opponents. "H.R. 1592 is a discriminatory
measure that criminalizes thoughts, feelings, and beliefs [and] has the
potential of interfering with religious liberty and freedom of speech,"
according to a white paper submitted by Glen Lavy, of the
Alliance Defense Fund. "As James Jacobs and Kimberly Potter observed
in Hate Crimes, Criminal Law, and Identity Politics, 'It would appear
that the only additional purpose [for enhancing punishment of bias crimes]
is to provide extra punishment based on the offender's politically incorrect
opinions and viewpoints,'" said Lavy. The proposal has been endorsed
by majority Democrats on the committee, and already has 137 sponsors in
the full House, making it possible it could be voted on in a matter of days
or weeks. "This is a terrible thing, to criminalize thought or emotion
or even speech," Lavy told WND, referring to H.R. 1592, now pending
at the committee level in the U.S. House. Democrats there have been turning
back amendments that would strip it of its worst provisions, according to
an observer. Bishop Harry Jackson, chairman of the High Impact Leadership
Coalition, said the plan, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Protection
Act of 2007, is no more than "a surreptitious attempt by some in Congress
to strip the nation of religious freedom and the ability to preach the gospel
from our church pulpits." "It will stamp all over our doctrine
and practice of our faith," he said. "We believe what the Bible
says. If you start there we've got a major problem." Secondly, it unfairly
restricts the expression of fair opinion by Christians, he told WND. "If
anything, gays are getting undue deference awarded to them by the courts.
That's why we have the same-sex marriage fight and that kind of thing."
Rev. Louis Sheldon, director of the
Traditional Values Coalition, which represents 43,000 churches across
the nation, told WND that the Democrats sponsoring and supporting the issue "have
sold out to the homosexual agenda." He said churches need to awaken
to the dangers of having pastors, lay leaders, or even those sitting in
the pews sent to jail for their biblical views. "When they [realize
they] could go to jail for preaching the Word of God, they'll be concerned,"
he told WND. Sheldon's organization is releasing a poster showing Jesus
as a wanted fugitive, for "crimes" under the planned "hate
crimes" legislation.
WND columnist Janet Folger this week warned in
a commentary called "Pastors: Act now or prepare for jail,"
that in New Hampshire, a crime that typically carries a sentence of 3 1/2
years was "enhanced" to 30 years because a robber shouted an anti-homosexual
name at his victim. "Think about it for a minute. If saying a mean
anti-homosexual word adds an additional 23-26 ½ years to a sentence, and
people live to around 80, that penalty is one-fourth of your life for the
words you say. And while this was in addition to a robbery penalty, how
much of a jump would it really be to penalize the speech 'infraction' alone?
And just what constitutes an 'anti-gay epithet'? Would an 'anti-gay epithet'
be to say, 'Homosexuality is a sin,' or 'Homosexuals should repent'? What
if you informed someone that 'Homosexuality is harmful to your health'?
If I were you, I wouldn't try it in New Hampshire," Folger wrote. Folger's
organization,
Faith2Action, has launched a series of ads
about Philadelphia grandmothers who were thrown in jail in Pennsylvania
under that state's "hate crimes" law – and faced the possibility
of 47 years in jail – for testifying in public about their Christian faith.
more... Are you ready to have your life taken away for your beliefs? Fellow watchers, this kind of attacks against our beliefs are going to continue to increase and at the rate it's at now, this fits right in with the timeline put forth by the HIStory, Our Future series of Bible studies. Get close to Christ now at the cost of all else. We're probably about to lose it anyways. Let us focus on God and each other, sharing the Gospel at all costs for the sake of the lost and in working for our Lord, Yeshua the Christ. ABC to Air LIVE Atheist Debate with Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort (April 26, 2007) - After ABC ran a story in January about hundreds of atheists videotaping themselves blaspheming the Holy Spirit, best-selling author Ray Comfort contacted the network and offered to prove God's existence, absolutely, scientifically, without mentioning the Bible or faith. He and Kirk Cameron (co-hosts of an award-winning Christian TV program) challenged the two originators of the "Blasphemy Challenge" to a debate on the existence of God. According to Comfort, he and Cameron (an ex-atheist) are qualified to debate on the subject. Comfort had not only written a book titled "God Doesn't Believe in Atheists", but had spoken at Yale on the subject of atheism, and been flown by American Atheists, Inc., to their 2001 annual convention to be a platform speaker. ABC loved the idea, and will host a debate in New York City on May 5, 2007. Moderated by Martin Bashir, the debate will be streamed LIVE on their website and will also be filmed for "Nightline." Cameron ("Growing Pains" sitcom and Left Behind movies) will speak on what he believes is a major catalyst for atheism: Darwinian evolution. The popular actor stated, "Evolution is unscientific. In reality, it is a blind faith that's preached with religious zeal as the gospel truth. I'm embarrassed to admit that I was once a naïve believer in the theory. The issue of intelligent design is extremely relevant at the moment. Atheism has become very popular in universities--where it's taught that we evolved from animals and that there are no moral absolutes. So we shouldn't be surprised when there are school shootings. Cameron will also reveal what it was that convinced him that God did exist. "Most people equate atheism with intellectualism," Comfort added, "but it's actually an intellectual embarrassment. I am amazed at how many people think that God's existence is a matter of faith. It's not, and I will prove it at the debate - once and for all. This is not a joke. I will present undeniable scientific proof that God exists. more... This should be interesting! I can't wait to see it! Psalm 19:1
FDA, Supplements and so-called hate crime bill
(April 26, 2007) - I'm going to cut to the
chase here on the latest efforts by non elected government bureaucrats and
Congress to further destroy our natural rights. First, our right to natural
health care and supplements, which cuts into the mega billions of dollars
in profit to the big pharmaceutical companies, see
Tom DeWeese's recent column: "The Federal Drug Administration (FDA)
has launched another sneak-attack, trying to regulate your health freedom
into oblivion. Through FDA’s unholy partnerships with Big Pharma and the
Codex Alimentarius Commission (an offshoot of the UN), we are very close
to losing alternative health care in America. This is a crisis, and needs
your immediate action." The loons behind this new world order nightmare
where every aspect of our life is controlled, include water to be regulated!
Think I'm blowing some conspiracy junk? "The website noted that among
likely developments if the FDA has its way: Growing and selling common garden
herbs will get you arrested as a drug dealer. Massage oils and handheld
massagers will be regulated as "medical devices." Vegetable juice
will be regulated as a drug. Weight machines will be regulated as "medical
devices" and require FDA approval before being sold or used. Raw sprouts
and other anti-cancer foods will be regulated as drugs. Bottled water that "treats"
dehydration will be regulated as a drug....."
Read the rest of this factual column here. Anyone who has done even
a minimal amount of research is fully aware that the FDA is nothing more
than a pimping operation for the big pharma houses. The question is this:
does the FDA have any authority to regulate natural food supplements and
vitamins, never mind water? more... Taiwan stung by millions of missing bees (April 26, 2007) - Taiwan's bee farmers are feeling the sting of lost business and possible crop danger after millions of the honey-making, plant-pollinating insects vanished during volatile weather, media and experts said on Thursday. Over the past two months, farmers in three parts of Taiwan have reported most of their bees gone, the Chinese-language United Daily News reported. Taiwan's TVBS television station said about 10 million bees had vanished in Taiwan. A beekeeper on Taiwan's northeastern coast reported 6 million insects missing "for no reason", and one in the south said 80 of his 200 bee boxes had been emptied, the paper said. Beekeepers usually let their bees out of boxes to pollinate plants and the insects normally make their way back to their owners. However, many of the bees have not returned over the past couple of months. more...
EU in new grab for more power (April 26, 2007)
- The president of the European Commission demanded MORE powers for Brussels
yesterday. José Manuel Barroso also called for “institutional reform” —
code for a backdoor EU Constitution. He said the EU needed “strong and effective
institutions, including the Commission and European Court of Justice”. His
call comes after The Sun warned yesterday of Tony Blair’s plan to surrender
British power to the EU. The unelected Commission is the powerful law-making
arm that strangles British firms with red tape. Meanwhile, unaccountable
Euro judges already have a say on large parts of UK life. In a speech in
London to the Institute of Directors, Mr Barroso said the EU’s institutions
needed “updating”. He added: “That is what the constitutional treaty intended
to achieve — and that is why the political focus has switched back to the
institutional settlement.” But critics fear a backdoor treaty will hit UK
jobs and wealth. Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague said last night:
“If anything, the EU has too much power, not too little.” Neil O’Brien,
of anti-EU think tank Open Europe, added: “The last thing UK businesses
want is unelected EU officials grabbing more powers.” Mr Blair has been
accused of plotting with Germany to bring back a reheated Constitution without
a referendum. He held talks with German leader Angela Merkel on Tuesday.
The blueprint will be finalised in June before he steps down as PM. Last
night his spokesman tried to play down fears, saying: “What is necessary
is to look at what helps an EU of 27 work.”
EU to demand US commitment to visa-free travel
(April 25, 2007) - The European Union will
pressure the United States to commit to including all EU nations in its
visa-waiver programme, officials said today. Only 15 out of the EU’s 27
nations are included in the programme that permits people to enter the US
without having to apply for a visa. EU officials have long insisted visa
waiver deals must be fully reciprocal, but US officials argue Greece and
most of the new EU members still fail to meet all the criteria necessary
for joining the scheme. “Citizens of 12 EU member states still need a visa,
even for short stays. The EU presidency is forcefully speaking to ensure
that in future all EU citizens are included in visa waiver programme,” German
Deputy Foreign Minister Guenther Gloser, whose country holds the rotating
six-month EU presidency, told the European Parliament in Strasbourg ahead
of the April 30 EU-US summit in Washington. “There should be no split in
the EU as to who has the right to travel to the United States without a
visa. All member states should be treated equally,” Gloser said.
Is there writing on the wall? (April 25, 2007)
- Watching (and participating in) the intense Iraq war and war on terror
debate both in the United States and in Europe and the politics that flows
from it, a sense of futility is increasingly hard to resist. Our nation
and Europe seem to have hardened in their divisions on those topics. It
would appear that the great divide in both public opinion and between politicians
is not Republican-Democrat, liberal-conservative, pro- or anti-Bush or even
pro- or anti-war (or, in Europe: pro-or anti-American). Rather, the great
divide is between those, such as me, who believe that the rise of radical
Islam poses an existential threat to Western Civilization; and those who
believe it is a nuisance, if episodically a very dangerous nuisance. For
those in the latter category, the great thrust of modern history exemplified
in Francis Fukuyama's concept of "The End of History" continues
onward. The great secular triumph of (more or less) free markets, a world
economy, democracy, individual rights, socialized economic security and
their management by merit-based technocrats will be an inevitable continuity
in human affairs. The episodic terrorist violence, so far killing far less
people than die in car crashes or from lung cancer each year, does not justify
re-ordering our social priorities. It does not justify any significant intrusions
into civil liberties. It does not justify a major shift of tax revenues
from social spending to war and homeland security programs. It certainly
does not justify fighting wars on the other side of the world that kill
and grievously wound painful numbers of American and European soldiers —
and even greater numbers of local residents in the war zones. For the people
holding that view, George Bush and Tony Blair (and their supporters) are
not only seen as wrong, nor merely incompetently wrong — but are seen as
cynically exploiting an obvious lie to crassly enhance their political power
and enrich their corrupt friends. Conceptual opposition has evolved into
personal contempt for the antagonist (as it often does in fights over big
issues — e.g. the fight between capital and labor of the late 19th and first
half of the 20th centuries). For those of us who support the great struggle
against radical Islam, the world reality could not be plainer. The threat
of radical Islam is not merely a few thousand terrorists using small explosives
to kill a few dozen people at a time — usually in the far away Middle East.
Rather, it is an historic recrudescence of a violent, conquering old tradition
of Islam that almost overwhelmed the world from the seventh century until
as recently as 17th century. It is radicalizing the minds of increasing
numbers of the world's 1.4 billion Muslims to be very aggressive culturally,
as well as violent — from Africa to Indonesia, to Cairo to Ankara, to Paris,
to Rotterdam to London to Falls Church, Va. Funded by Saudi petro-dollars,
it is capable of acting on a worldwide scale and will eventually get its
hands on biological, chemical and nuclear weapons. While it probably will
not be able to find sufficient unity to form a caliphate, it clearly has
the capacity and intent to create violent chaos, to wreak digital havoc
on our computer-based world economy and to intimidate Western governments
to give up the very values and methods that have made our civilization so
vibrant and free. Free speech in Europe is already being curtailed to protect
radical Islam from even verbal criticism. The flying imams' lawsuit attempts
to intimidate American citizens from even reporting possible terrorist activity
to the authorities. Iran's nuclear ambitions are being appeased. How dare
the media call it "Bush's war on terror." It's our war — and it
was started by the radical Islamists — not by us. Where will it all stop?

‘Baghdad Prayer Patrol‘ aims to provide spiritual support to US troops in
Iraq (April 24, 2007) - A new Christian
website, dedicated to prayer for Iraq, has been launched to coincide with
the recent surge in US military forces in Baghdad.
Prayercentral.net
founder Wayne Dillard launched the "Baghdad Prayer Patrol" to
enlist Americans to pray for troops stationed in and around the Iraqi capital.
Timing the project to coincide with the recent troop surge in Baghdad, Dillard
says: "It's not right to send more troops without sending more prayer.
We are asking Christians to join us for just one minute a day to stand with
our troops over the next six months." "What if Baghdad were a
city of peace? What if the impossible happened and it became a beacon of
hope for the region? What if we prayed, and God answered, what could happen?"
the website asks. "Did you know that Baghdad was once called Madinat
Al- Salam, city of peace? Maybe that’s it’s God given destiny, maybe if
we agree with God, we can change history," the website says. Answering
the question, 'Why pray?' the site's organizers respond: "Because of
the events that surround Baghdad, you will probably never have a better
opportunity to change the course of world history than you do right now."
They add: "Forces of both good and evil are locked in battle for Baghdad.
Just a few short months will determine the fate of that city, it’s 6 million
inhabitants, and it’s on-going influence in that region and the world. "The
good people of Baghdad have stepped up to put their lives on the line as
leaders for democracy and freedom. Soldiers from around the world are laying
down their lives, and the Baghdad police are spilling their blood to see
their countrymen live in peace." But, according to the site, "this
is not enough, and the tug of war for Baghdad will be lost if believers
like you and me don’t step up to our spiritual responsibility and join the
battle. Others are doing all they can, are we doing what we can? "If
you are a believer then you understand that political, military, and humanitarian
efforts are only part of the picture. Rees Howells, a prayer leader that
impacted the outcome of WWII, once said, 'History belongs to the intercessor'
if that’s true, then the future also belongs to the Intercessor."
more... Let us join in prayer for the soldiers in Iraq. Remember also that this is the location of ancient Babylon. Remember the story from April 9? Want Middle East Stability? Move UN to Iraq Babylon is a big part of Bible prophecy and events that are going to happen in the near future. This again lends credence to the HIStory, Our Future collection of Bible studies and their accuracy in timing. At any rate, intercession for those giving their lives in sincere desire to help their nation, we should remember what the Bible says about those who give their lives for a friend. God is Love. John 15:13, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Lord, protect our soldiers. Give them that love you the opportunity to witness through their love to the people of Iraq, Afghanistan, and all throughout this world. Show your Spirit to them that don't love you yet. Part of your coming wrath is to shake away the comforts of them who are too wrapped up in their desires to notice you and rely on you as we all should. Lord, your friends ask that You glorify your name in our soldiers. That as they willingly continue to give their lives for our protection, that this reflection of the kind of God You are would rip the veils from the eyes of them who have been brainwashed to hate You, and not given the opportunity to know You. May our soldiers be awakened to a deeper understanding of You and filled to overflowing. That they would stand out to others and that their voices would be loosened in glory of Your name. Whether this battle is for good or bad, You know, but we recognize the opportunity for Your love to break down barriers in Iraq and elsewhere. In these dark times, Your light is a standard for them that hear Your voice. Your bride is awakening. May she glorify Your name as our voice resonates throughout the earth, "Blessed be the name of the Lord, Yeshua be praised!" “Hail Goddess full of grace” (April 24, 2007) - Lutheran church in San Francisco has its own version of the Rosary “WOW -- coming from RC tradition I thought I’d never return to the Rosary. But here it is and here SHE IS. Blessed be, Mairly.” The “here” in this message, found on herchurch.org, is Ebenezer Lutheran Church in San Francisco. But the SHE is not the Mother of God. SHE is “God/dess.” On Wednesdays at 7 p.m., Ebenezer opens its sanctuary for the “Christian Goddess Rosary.” The church says it offers “Goddess Rosary Beads” and that “prayers and suggested meditations will be on hand as well as incense, candles and bells.” “The Goddess rosary is grounded in traditions of the Christian Church and the proclamation of the gospel which is a vision of release from bondage for a new creation,” says the church’s web site. The Goddess Rosary page on herchurch.org says that though “God as Father plays an important role” in Christian tradition, its “exclusive emphasis... contributes to a limited understanding of God, an understanding that supports a domination structure that oppresses and subordinates women.” Jesus used “Abba” as a “revolutionary deconstruction of domination structures of his day in both religious and social institutions.” The modern task is to do the same with “Goddess.” Herchurch.org offers a “Hail Goddess” prayer by feminist theologian Carol Christ, formerly of Harvard Divinity School but now director of the Ariadne Institute for Myth and Ritual in Greece. The prayer goes: “Hail Goddess full of grace. Blessed are you and blessed are all the fruits of your womb. For you are the MOTHER of us all. Hear us now and in all our needs. O blessed be, O blessed be. Amen.” “I felt that I had stepped into a Presence, like a mother’s warm embrace,” wrote Dalyn Cook of Ebenezer’s Goddess Rosary. “The attendees were few in number, yet there was a sense of fullness in this welcoming space. I inhaled deeply the earthy scent of the incense, sending up delicate tendrils of smoke which curled around the altar in a nimbus visible against the warm rays of the evening sun filtering through the stained-glass windows.... “From the basket of rosaries, I took into my hand a strand of vibrantly-colored beads with a silver goddess icon in place of the traditional cross. The goddesses came in a variety of shapes and sizes, celebrating the beauty of the feminine form; I found reflections of my own figure in the full hips and Rubenesque curves of my goddess,” Cook wrote. more... Study: Religion is Good for Kids (April 24, 2007) - Kids with religious parents are better behaved and adjusted than other children, according to a new study that is the first to look at the effects of religion on young child development. The conflict that arises when parents regularly argue over their faith at home, however, has the opposite effect. John Bartkowski, a Mississippi State University sociologist and his colleagues asked the parents and teachers of more than 16,000 kids, most of them first-graders, to rate how much self control they believed the kids had, how often they exhibited poor or unhappy behavior and how well they respected and worked with their peers. The researchers compared these scores to how frequently the children’s parents said they attended worship services, talked about religion with their child and argued abut religion in the home. The kids whose parents regularly attended religious services—especially when both parents did so frequently—and talked with their kids about religion were rated by both parents and teachers as having better self-control, social skills and approaches to learning than kids with non-religious parents. But when parents argued frequently about religion, the children were more likely to have problems. “Religion can hurt if faith is a source of conflict or tension in the family,” Bartkowski noted. Bartkowski thinks religion can be good for kids for three reasons. First, religious networks provide social support to parents, he said, and this can improve their parenting skills. Children who are brought into such networks and hear parental messages reinforced by other adults may also “take more to heart the messages that they get in the home,” he said. Secondly, the types of values and norms that circulate in religious congregations tend to be self-sacrificing and pro-family, Bartkowski told LiveScience. These “could be very, very important in shaping how parents relate to their kids, and then how children develop in response,” he said. Finally, religious organizations imbue parenting with sacred meaning and significance, he said. University of Virginia sociologist W. Bradford Wilcox, who was not involved in the study, agrees. At least for the most religious parents, “getting their kids into heaven is more important than getting their kids into Harvard,” Wilcox said. Something
They're Not Telling Us (April 23, 2007)
- I have made comments before on the logistics of making contact with an
extraterrestrial intelligence, and this subject is a very important one.
Just how would we react? How would your life change if suddenly you were
told that contact had been made with ET? Has that contact already been made?
Possibly. At least now the nations of the world are considering the possibilities.
A press release issued a few weeks ago tells us that the United Nations
General Assembly will debate "establishing diplomatic relations with
advanced Extraterrestrial Civilizations that may now be visiting Earth. "MAY
NOW BE VISITING EARTH?" Yes, that's exactly what it says. As you may
recall, we have heard rumblings about disclosure for quite some time now.
France has released UFO files, Brazil has released secret UFO files, Great
Britain has released documents dealing with UFOs, and the former Minister
of Defence, Paul Hellyer has called for open discussion of UFOs. This leads
me to believe that the assertion that governments of the world are holding
back information on UFOs is true, and just maybe we are being prepared for
an announcement. I'll leave you to ponder this statement by a Non-Governmental
spokesperson about the United Nations General Assembly: "We are certain...
(there will be) official disclosure of an advanced Extraterrestrial presence,
and for the beginnings of a United Nations Decade of Contact." To see
more on this story, along with contact information, go to
U.N. to debate
contact with extraterrestrial civilizations. Addendum: Yes, folks, although
I am a country boy, and not in the least bit knowledgeable about politics,
I did know that Hellyer was not the former "Prime Minister" but
Minister of Defence" Now, is Defence spelled with a "c" or "s"?
Well, in Great Britain, it is usually spelled with a "c," but
in America we normally opt for the "s" at the end. But, what about
Canada? As the United Nations General Assembly, here is a quote from an
article that went online about noon today,
U.N. General Assembly Now Has Resolution To Establish United Nations Decade
Of Contact & Diplomatic Relations With E.T.s. For the first
time in almost 27 years, the United Nations General Assembly will be debating
the issue of establishing diplomatic relations with advanced Extraterrestrial
Civilizations that may now be visiting Earth. On December 16, 2005,
a Resolution to establish a United Nations Decade of Contact was formally
transmitted to the incoming President of the General Assembly, H.E. Jan
Eliasson of Sweden by the Institute for Cooperation in Space (ICIS), a Non-Governmental
Organization. President Eliasson was Sweden's Ambassador to the United Nations
from 2000 to 2005. Almost to the day twenty-seven years ago, on December
18, 1978, the United Nations General Assembly voted to approve decision
33/426, inviting U.N. Member States "to take appropriate steps to coordinate
on a national level scientific research and investigation into extraterrestrial
life, including unidentified flying objects, and to inform the Secretary-General
of the observations, research and evaluation of such activities." Also
