Is there a good
reason why
I believe we’re in the end-times? In a word, YES! However, I’m
well aware that my simply stating it does not make it so and I pray that
throughout your search for Truth you guard your mind with the Word of God
and don’t take my word for anything without checking God’s Word
to see if what I share is so. I’ve tried to ensure I do just that
in my research I present here.
Isaiah 46:9-13 Remember the former
things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God,
and there is none like me, Declaring the end
from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet
done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do
all my pleasure: Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that
executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will
also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. Hearken
unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: I bring near
my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not
tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
Isaiah 48:3-7 I have declared
the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my
mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew,
and thy brow brass; I have even from the beginning declared it to thee;
before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine
idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath
commanded them. Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare
it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things,
and thou didst not know them. They are created now, and not from the
beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou
shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
This question of importance in watching the end times can easily be answered
by the following scriptures. If you hold the Bible to be the Word of God,
then it is your foundation for Truth. And if we are told to watch, then
it is best that we understand what we’re watching, especially if it
is so important as for Christ to make such a great point of it. The first
answer
Yeshua
gave to the question of the signs of the end was to not be deceived. Revelation
is central to understanding the detail of Bible prophecy and this is how
it begins.
Revelation 1:1-3 The Revelation
of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants
things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it
by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God,
and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear
the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written
therein: for the time is at hand.
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore
how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent.
If therefore thou shalt not watch, I
will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what
hour I will come upon thee.
Watch scriptures
The Bible repeats the words of Christ and disciples regarding the coming
of the end. This includes our responsibility to watch. That is what this
website is about, bringing everyone up to date quickly what the Lord has
shown us in His Word and continue to watch events in the news. But as to
what the Lord has to say...
Matthew 24:36-44 But of that day
and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father
only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the
Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were
eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,
until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so
shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then
shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and
the other left.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what
hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that
if the goodman of the house had known in what
watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have
suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also
ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
The coming of the Son of man, Yeshua the Christ, is directly related
to a time of sudden destruction, unexpected by the world until it began.
In John 14:1-3 Yeshua said that He was going to prepare a place for us at
the Father’s house and
He will
come to gather us to Himself. Christ is coming to take His
bride to the marriage of the Lamb. This fits very well with the following
scripture linking the waiting we are currently doing for Christ to come
back for us.
Matthew 25:1-13 Then shall
the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their
lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And
five of them were wise,
and five were foolish.
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom
tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry
made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all
those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto
the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise
answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but
go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they
went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with
him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the
other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. Matthew 7:13-23 But he
answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither
the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Relating this to Christians today, we are the wise and foolish virgins.
We are all waiting for Christ to go to the marriage of the Lamb. The oil
is the Holy Spirit, given to us upon acceptance of Yeshua as the Messiah
who took on the sins of the world. Through obedience to God’s ways
and relationship through prayer, the Holy Spirit anoints the body of Christ,
His church. Not everyone who says they are a Christian truly acts like it
though. God said that if we love Him, we will obey His Word. There are many
Christians today who look no different than the world that rejects God’s
Word. These are the foolish with no oil in their lamps and therefore no
fuel for the flame that lights our path through the Word of God. When God’s
Word directs our spirit, we conform to His image of Love and by our obedience
show our love for Him. This is the kind of bride the Lord is coming back
for. The others will not enter into the marriage. God’s wrath is for
the children of disobedience. Ephesians 5:1-8 Notice what the focus of the
next passages are regarding God’s Word to those who love Him.
Mark 13:32-37 But of that day and that hour[coming of the Son of man]knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are
in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed,
watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son
of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave
authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and
commanded the porter to watch.
Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house
cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And
what I say unto you I say unto all,
Watch.
Luke 12:16-40
And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will
return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may
open unto him immediately. Blessed are those
servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find
watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself,
and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch,
and find them so, blessed are those servants. And this know, that
if the goodman of the house had known what hour
the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered
his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also:
for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
Luke 21:34-36 And take heed to
yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting,
and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you
unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all
them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that
shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 But
of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write
unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that
the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when
they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon
them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
<-[Like the days of Noah, sudden destruction]But ye, brethren, are not in
darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are
all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of
the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us
not sleep, as do others; but
let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in
the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let
us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith
and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but
to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that,
whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore
comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye
do.
Hebrews 9:28 So Christ
was once offered to bear the sins of many; and
unto them that look for him
shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Christ said, “Behold, I come
as a thief.” A thief, if he is good, comes and goes
without anyone seeing Him, taking those things he desires. God is perfect,
and so He is a perfect thief, taking what He holds valuable, the wise virgins,
His bride. If you look at all the
scriptures about the day of the Lord, it is a day of God’s vengeance
and wrath. It appears 31 times in 29 verses in the Bible.
Joel 2:31 The sun shall
be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood,
<-[6th Seal]
before the great and terrible day of
the LORD come.
Revelation
6:12 And I beheld when he had opened
the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and
the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became
as blood;
The
sixth
seal is before God’s wrath is poured out. However, God promised
escape from this time for those that love Him. Luke 21:34-36 He also said
that if we love Him, we will obey Him. This explains why God says His wrath
is for the children of disobedience. Once the bride is gone to the judgment
seat of Christ and the marriage of the Lamb, the wrath of God is poured
out on the earth. The wife then return with Christ in glory upon His return
to earth to take the kingdoms. Revelation 19:7-8; 11-14
This is why we are told so many times in scripture to watch. The only
way we can effectively watch is to understand what we’re looking at.
Fortunately, God doesn’t do anything unless He first reveals it to
His servants the prophets. Amos 3:7 We have those writings in the Bible,
and when we understand the foundation, the future is revealed through scripture
very clearly. He also said that when we obey Him we are no longer His servants,
but His friends and so He will reveal His plans to us. John 15:14-15
This is what I will present here and elsewhere on this website, the Bible
passages that reveal God’s plan through His Word, and it’s been
there for thousands of years. So why all the different opinions? I believe
that many people don’t take the Bible seriously. They symbolize everything
in scripture so that nothing means what it says. Instead, it becomes a pick
and choose search to find meaning. Unless it doesn’t make sense or
line up with the whole council of God, we should take the Word for what
it says. God is not the author of confusion, but at the same time just as
we aren’t to throw pearls to swine, so God does not reveal the details
of prophecy from a surface reading. We must understand the whole council
of God and understand important precepts.
Isaiah 26:9-13 Whom
shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine?them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon
precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a
little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak
to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause
the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing:yet they
would not hear. But the word of
the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line
upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little;
that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and
snared, and taken.
We aren’t going to find complete doctrine in just one scripture
all the time. But taking every scripture together as Truth reveals a bigger
picture. Precept must be built upon precept first though. By understanding
foundational principles first and then building understanding from there,
we assure that our foundation is solidly defined according to God’s
Word so we can see how it matches up with the rest of God’s Word.
For example, Israel’s importance and central place in end-time
prophecy. If that one thing is missing, all of prophecy becomes a confused
jumbled mess. Things that should be clear as written must be reassigned
to the church to make us the central figure of Revelation. People can and
have found scriptures that can lead us to lean that direction. The problem
is those aren’t the only scriptures. Israel is the apple [lens] of
God’s eye. The lens of the eye provides the focus. If our lens does
not match God’s, then what He wrote from His perspective will be blurry
and undefined for us. However, if we put on the same lens as God, prophecy
becomes crystal-clear because what we see is in focus with God’s Word.
This is where the Holy Spirit comes in. It was by Him the Words were written
through the prophets, therefore it is through His guidance we understand
what is written.
Want to understand Bible prophecy, but think it’s too complicated?
If you take the Bible literally and interpret symbols with the Bible, all
you have to do is read and put it all together. That’s what I’ve
done in trying to document all of my Bible studies. It is important above
all though, that you have the guidance of the Holy Spirit to truly understand
God’s Word. I’ve linked all the reference material for you in
separate studies through many important Bible prophecy topics. I’m
no expert though, I’m just a normal guy reading the Bible. I asked
God to show me His plans, not my desires and He has answered that prayer
more than I thought possible. But it’s important not to just believe
and accept whatever I tell you, but to look it up too. Acts 17:11 That’s
why I’ve linked all the relative material I can think of to make it
easy to catch up to what’s happening. Then you too can watch on your
own and communicate it with your friends and family for God’s glory!
The best part is, it’s all from His Word.
2 Peter 1:19-21 We have also
a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed,
as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and
the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that
no prophecy of the scripture is of any private
interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time
by the will of man: butholy men of God spake as they
were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Can we know details about the future from the Bible?
John 15:14,15 Ye are my friends,
if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth
I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth:
but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard
of my Father I have made known unto you.
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore
how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent.
If therefore thou shalt not watch,
I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what
hour I will come upon thee.
This is apparent that there are two possibilities. Either you will be
caught off guard when Christ comes or you won’t. That state of readiness
is determined by one condition. Are you watching for Him? The fact that
we can watch and not be caught unawares is very clear. Hebrews 9:28 re-enforces
this idea because according to that passage, Christ “will
appear the second time without sin unto salvation”
to them that look for Him. This means that
if we’re watching, He won’t come like a thief. That’s
the other alternative, and through Bible prophecy, that’s exactly
what God does, he tells us details about His coming in His Word. They are
found with the leading of the Holy Spirit in the Bible when you request
it. Stop and make your
request now.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will
do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
The Bible is what was revealed to His servants the prophets and was passed
down through the millennia for us. God told Daniel toward the end knowledge
would increase, Daniel 12:4, and since Bible prophecy tells future events
(to the day just like the first 69 weeks of
Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy) and God won’t do anything without
letting us know, we can expect to find the answers, the Truth, in the Bible.
There is only one Truth.
Having that Truth depends on how much one relies on the Bible for their
foundation. Relying on our own perceptions is fatal because we don’t
have full knowledge, none of us and not even all of us put together. Not
having all the facts causes fatally bad decisions and beliefs. Where do
you put your foundation? I trust the King James Bible.
To understand the universe and why it all works the way it does, you must
understand the Creator of that universe because the Creator makes the rules.
The problem is that nobody knows the Bible inside and out in all perfection.
Indeed, many skim through it not defining their foundational points before
adding to the misunderstood definitions. It’s like traveling through
space. If you are even one degree off in your charting at the beginning,
by the time you go the distance to your destination, you are way off the
mark. It’s the same thing with Bible prophecy. If you haven’t
defined and founded your terms in the Bible solidly, then every new piece
to the puzzle of Bible prophecy you try to add won’t fit with the
whole. It’s at that point that many are willing to adjust
slightly or spiritualize the actual meaning in scripture to make things
work. Most of the time, they probably don’t even realize they’re
doing it. I did that for a while myself but ultimately my search is one
for Truth and there is only One Truth.
Now I don’t claim to know everything. In fact, that’s why
I started from scratch in my Bible study of the end times toward the end
of 2005. I decided to start off with the
exact-day prophesies of Daniel and Revelation because you can’t
misinterpret numbers and taking God for His Word, these are exact numbers
of days between events. They must be written there for a reason. From there,
I found that I had to define my terms according to scripture.
So many people had different ideas of what the
great tribulation is, or what the
first resurrection is. They all sounded good when I didn’t really
do the research myself, so I stopped listening to them all and dug into
the Bible. When I did, I found that Amos 3:7 was an absolutely 100% true
statement of God’s Word to us. Not only did the exact-day prophecies
lay out the
70th week of Daniel with amazing detail, but when combined
with a solid Biblical foundation for the terminology, I didn’t have
to force any pieces to the puzzle, they all just fell into place.
In building a house, it is with the framework we begin. It is the core
design structure to which everything else is attached. By taking the Word
of God as Truth and building the framework in the timeline of human history
from what He told us, our framework for Bible prophecy is revealed and that
is a precept that gives foundation upon which to build understanding from
other scripture.
I know some would hear all this and say I’m claiming exclusive
understanding or something. But my defense is in the Bible because that
is my foundation. Besides, prophecy is of no private interpretation. The
same words are written there for everyone. What meanings people decide to
put on those words is the problem. Sure, everyone says that the Bible is
their foundation, but why do some of their ideas go against passages in
the Bible?
I have faith that what the Bible has told me is 100% true. Double
check my
studies please. I’ve created a Bible study guide on my website
that links to the main Bible studies and foundational points. I don’t
care if you believe me, just trust the Word of God. In fact, don’t
believe anything I tell you, compare what
I share yourself in the Word. We all need to check our motivations.
Are we out to prove a point and get people to believe, or do we want to
know the Truth, even if it goes against what other people have taught us
our whole lives? Don’t trust men, trust the Word. This is my search
for Truth shared with those who would listen because I love you and the
Truth is free.
Acts 17:11 These were more noble
than those in Thessalonica, in that they received
the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures
daily, whether those things were so.
1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 Quench
not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain
from all appearance of evil.
Once again, I don’t know everything. But, I know what I have read
in the Bible, and my interest in sharing it is that nobody thinks we can
really know the truth of the matter. They believe this because of all the
deception that our enemy has thrown in to disorient us through history.
That’s why I cried out to God for His Truth to be shown to me. He
is faithful to answer everyone of us. I’m no more special to God than
you are and I firmly believe that if everyone takes the Bible for what it
says, they can all see the exact same things I do. We are one body under
Christ our head and He has given us One Word, His Bible with which to understand
His will and His design. Revelation 22:18-20
I have yet to find a conflict in the Bible for a
pre-wrath
harpazo of the bride, while I’ve found scriptures that disprove
pre-trib
and
post-trib (as traditionally understood at the end of the 3 1/2 years).
I’ve also found that “great
tribulation” has been a term too often thrown around without sufficient
research into defining it.
Bottom line... God did not leave us blind. He promised we would know
what is going on so we wouldn’t be caught off guard by His coming
like a thief. This principle is evident throughout the scriptures where
God has let those who obey Him know what is going on. That’s what
Bible prophecy is! God warning those who would listen and believe and obey
of the things to come that directly affect our lives and even our eternity.
Genesis 18:17-23 And the LORD
said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Seeing that Abraham
shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of
the earth shall be blessed in him? For I know him, that he will command
his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way
of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon
Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. And the LORD said, Because
the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very
grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether
according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will
know. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom:
but Abraham stood yet before the LORD. And Abraham drew near, and said,
Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
By Abraham’s response in asking how many righteous would be saved,
God did tell him His plans. So did He tell Daniel in
Daniel 9.
As well as John in Revelation. These aren’t there for no reason, they
lay out the details. We can’t figure it out on our own, ask for guidance
to the Truth again and again while reading the Word and discussing it here
and elsewhere. I believe the only detail the Bible doesn’t reveal
with research in the Word is the day and hour timing of the harpazo of the
bride. God will provide understanding for everything else as needed or allowed.
Most of all, it is prophecy that is testimony of Christ. I believe this
should be a large part of the activity of the body of Christ in waiting
and watching, that is understanding Bible prophecy and the center of it,
Yeshua
Ha Mashiach.
Revelation 19:10 And I fell
at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not:
I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony
of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony
of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Hebrews 5:14 But solid food
is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained
to discern between good and evil.
The greatest need in the body of Christ today is discernment.
Philippians 1:9 And this I
pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge
and all discernment.
DISCERNMENT: “aisthesis,” The ability to make judgments.
The Bible clearly warns that in these last days (see Hebrews 1:2) the
ability to discern between what is of God...and what is NOT OF GOD,
will be critical.
1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not
believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are
from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
In my 30+ years of involvement in church leadership and ministry
I have found that the average church-goer (Christian or no) is one of
the most gullible and easily influenced and manipulated people on the
earth.
2 Corinthinans 11:13-14 For
such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves
as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself
as an angel of light.
The Bible warns that in these last days,
Matthew 24:24 False prophets
will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead,
if possible, even the elect
“Many will be misled”
(see also Matthew 24:11). Recent events in Lakeland, Florida show how
easily this can happen. GodThoughtsWired! exists to help equip you with
the discernment skills necessary to escape the delusion that will mislead
the “many.”
GodThoughtsWired! exists so that when Jesus says,
Matthew 7:23 I never knew
you. Depart from Me you who practice lawlessness...
HE’S NOT TALKING TO YOU! The Bible tells us to,
1 Thessalonians 5:21 Examine
everything carefully; only hold fast to that which is good...
1 John 4:1 Test the spirits
to see whether they are from God...
Ephesians 5:11 Do not participate
in the unfruitful deeds of darkness but instead EXPOSE THEM.
And yet, all too often, whenever I practice these verses someone
will invariably respond by quoting the scripture that says,
Matthew 7:1 DO NOT JUDGE...
While I do admit that on the surface this statement seems pretty
clear-cut, “Do not judge,” I have to wonder why Jesus seems
to contradict Himself in John 7:24 where He declares,
John 7:24 JUDGE WITH RIGHTEOUS
JUDGMENT.
Hmmm...First Jesus tells us not to judge and then He demands that
we do! Tomorrow we will search for the answer to this “apparent
contradiction.”
“To Judge or not to Judge...That is the Question?”
Matthew 7:1 Do not judge,
lest you be judged.
How many times have you heard this verse used to try and stop someone
from speaking out against false teaching? If I had a nickel for every
time someone warned me “not to judge” I’d be a very,
VERY RICH MAN today. You know, when you think about it, the term “false
teaching” is a very “judgmental” statement, isn’t
it? In this age of tolerance and relativism (“truth” is
what you want it to be) even the term itself, “false teaching”
has become politically...incorrect, hasn’t it?
And if Jesus is really saying here in Matthew 7:1 that it is wrong
to judge, then why would He give the OK for judgment just four verses
later in verse 5? And why would He go on to teach, in the same chapter,
how important it is to “beware of false teachers,” admonishing
us to “judge” them by their fruit (see Matthew 7:15-20)?
Have you ever given serious thought to this entire chapter?
DID
YOU KNOW THAT JESUS ALSO SAID:
John 7:24 Do not judge according
to appearance, but judge with righteous judgement.
Brothers and sisters, the Bible CLEARLY teaches that we must “judge
all things,” lest we fall into error.
Recognize and Avoid Deceivers by Del Kralman (Beth Dorshe
Emeth Ministries 4430 South 158th; Tukwila, WA 98188)
Matthew 24:4,5 And Jesus answered
and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many
shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-3
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that
I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of
the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall
say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them,
as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Remember how Peter expressed the danger of listening to the deceivers
of the Endtimes, with the possibility that it may have an adverse effect
on the saints when he said:
2 Peter 3:17 Ye therefore,
beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also,
being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own
stedfastness.
It is so very important to recognize the deceivers.
Truly the only way to know who the deceivers
are, is to be so familiar with the Truth that the deception stands out
like a mountain on a clear day. The only way to effectively deceive
someone is to make the deception look so real and good that they can’t
tell the difference. Even more, it must look so good that people will
accept it instead of the Truth and prefer it over the Truth. Satan is
the greatest deceiver of all and that is exactly the approach he uses.
“Secular Humanism,” which humanizes God and deifies man;
and the “New Age Movement,” which takes the Hindu approach
and deifies everything, has become popular in the western world as an
acceptable course to finding the “true power within” to
help men reach their maximum potential. Because it is ‘the great
lie,’ presented in such a desirable way, most of the world has
fallen under it’s spell. They have been deceived and drawn away
from God Almighty. It has even crept into the teachings of many teachers
and preachers in churches today, which indicates the craftiness of Satan
in using these influences to deceive the very elect, if possible. This
brings into focus the great urgency to call people back to God before
its too late!
“One of the most important and most neglected messages of the church today
is the message of Jesus’ second coming. Our fear of controversy
has caused us to put this truth aside keeping silent on this vitally
important, life-giving truth. Jesus is coming soon. In the Old Testament,
there are twenty times as many prophecies about Jesus’ second
coming as there are about His first advent. In the 260 chapters
of the New Testament, the second coming is mentioned 380 times.
It is truly a most important topic.”
