Site ChangesThe primary motivation for changing the Watchman Bible Study website was updating some of the structure and content. This will mean that some links that may have worked before will no longer exist. The information is likely still in the website, but moved to an easier structure for me to keep track of. If you are looking for a link that is no longer present, let me know and I’ll see if I can get it to you. For updates on various pages, check out the What’s New page where I will update links to pages that I’m updating. However I also wanted to take advantage of some features that I could add to help study and share. Some things you may have noticed, some things you may have missed. This is a small list of changes. Drop-down MenuThe first change that has been in place for some time already is the new drop-down menu I put together from the Vista Buttons product. Whereas I primarily used links within various pages to direct visitors to the site content, this is now the primary method to drill down into the different topics and Bible studies contained in this website. Related TopicsAnother change is the addition on many pages of a “Related Topics” section at the top of the page. By default this will be hidden and by clicking the button, you will be able to see the information or links for related information to that page. Text ChangesSite links that go to internal Bible study pages are displayed in the following format: Bible Study Guide In articles and news stories, my comments will look like this. RefTagger is a free web tool provided by Logos Bible Software that automatically creates links for all scriptural references within a web page when the page loads. I think it is great for quick reference of short passages that are scattered throughout this site. It is also automated so I just have to spell out the passage (John 3:16) and the link is automated after the initial setup. I do wish that the Blue-Letter Bible site had a comparable tool, the KJV of the passages have some formatting issues (hence my use of the NKJV) and it only works well with short passages, but nonetheless it is a great tool. Ephesians 5 Scripture Encapsulation Acts 4:12 Apocrypha/Non-Canonical Encapsulation Enoch I 1:9 Koran/Hadith Encapsulation Qur’an 23:91 Article References Use this for quoting other articles. Their text will reside in this section to separate it out from the rest of the web page written by me. Personal Quote Encapsulation “If you don’t read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed.” | Mark Twain Sharing OptionsThere are several changes that exist on each page in the new design that provide some greater possibilities to communicate and share information.
