Palestinians suspend talks on unity government
(November 20, 2006) - Rival Palestinian factions
suspended negotiations over the formation of a unity government on Monday
after disagreement emerged over the distribution of key ministries, Palestinian
officials said. President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah was said to have walked
out of the talks in Gaza in anger after Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, a
senior leader of Hamas, said he wanted his group to retain the coveted finance
and interior ministry posts. Fatah wants independent "experts"
to take them over. "The talks are suspended," Nabil Amr, Abbas's
media adviser, told reporters in the West Bank city of Ramallah. "The
only progress that was achieved during the thousand hours of dialogue was
the agreement on the prime minister," he said, confirming that Mohammad
Shbair, the former head of the Islamic University in Gaza, had been the
candidate. Hamas officials, keen to avoid creating the impression of a crisis,
would only go so far as to say that talks had run into serious obstacles,
avoiding the phrase "suspended." "The talks are continuing
and they have gone a long way down the road," said Fawzi Barhoum, a
Hamas spokesman. A Fatah negotiator said no further talks had been scheduled "until
some points are clarified." more... I expect their unity will increase 100-fold when they unite against Israel in the near future. You can see them brainwashing the population at memri.org and the story a little further down of the population migrating to Israeli target houses to deter Israeli attempts at wiping out weapons caches or increase casualties and bad publicity for Israel. Either way, Israel is not in a good position. They're already feeling the heat from the world.
Iran calls for summit with Iraq, Syria (November
20, 2006) - Iran has invited the Iraqi and Syrian presidents to Tehran
for a weekend summit with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to hash out ways to cooperate
in curbing the runaway violence that has taken Iraq to the verge of civil
war and threatens to spread through the region, four key lawmakers told
The Associated Press on Monday. Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has accepted
the invitation and will fly to the Iranian capital Saturday, a close parliamentary
associate said. The Iranian diplomatic gambit appeared designed to upstage
expected moves from Washington to include Syria and Iran in a wider regional
effort to clamp off violence in Iraq, where more civilians have been killed
in the first 20 days of November than in any other month since the AP began
tallying the figures in April 2005. The Iranian move was also a display
of its increasingly muscular role in the Middle East, where it already has
established deep influence over Syria and Lebanon. "All three countries
intend to hold a three-way summit among Iraq, Iran and Syria to discuss
the security situation and the repercussions for stability of the region,"
said Ali al-Adeeb, a lawmaker of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's Dawa Party
and a close aide to the prime minister. more... I wonder if Iraq will suddenly get peaceful once the heads get together. If original Babylon is a part of end-time prophecy, we could expect to see that area have a big turn-around soon. Perhaps that will be part of the false peace, once all the Muslim nations are united in their hatred for Israel. The hatred is too deeply bred to just go away, so don't expect any upcoming peace to be real.
Bomb on passenger train in India kills 6 (November
20, 2006) - A bomb exploded and ripped through two cars of a passenger
train Monday in eastern India, killing at least six people and wounding
53 others, officials said. The bomb had been planted on one of the cars
of the Haldibari Passenger Express, T. Rabha, a spokesman of Northeastern
Railways, told The Associated Press. The blast occurred about 6:20 p.m.
near the Belacoba train station, about 345 miles north of Calcutta, Rabha
said. No one immediately claimed responsibility. Several Maoist groups are
active in the area, but they rarely target civilians. Prasad Ranjan Roy,
Home Secretary of West Bengal state, said initial suspicion pointed to involvement
of either a local Maoist group or separatist militants from neighboring
Assam state. At least six passengers died at the scene and 53 others were
wounded, Rabha said, adding that the death toll could rise because some
of those injured were in serious condition. Indian television cited local
sources as saying there were more deaths, but Inspector General of Police
Raj Kanojia said those reports were not confirmed. Mumbai's train network
was targeted July 11 when seven bombs exploded on crowded commuter trains,
killing more than 200 people. Thirteen men have been arrested in the bombings.
Police suspect the bombs were planted in overhead luggage racks inside the
coaches.
Nine Qassam missiles fired from Gaza Monday - two hit Sderot center. One
missile hit Kibbutz Beeri offices causing heavy damage
(November 20, 2006) - Another exploded in
Kibbutz Nirim and a third south of Ashkelon. No injuries. Three Israeli
civilians were wounded in Sderot Sunday when 10 missiles were fired. Monday,
matriculation students were bused to Beersheba high schools out of missile
range. Opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu calls for a double military
operation without time limit in northern Gaza, main source of Qassam fire,
and Philadelphi route, to stem rising influx of Palestinian weapons. No
confidence motions filed in the Knesset for government’s failure to halt
the Qassam offensive against southwest Israel. Ministers meeting in Jerusalem
Sunday heard a charge from Internal security minister Avi Dichter that the
government had never explicitly ordered the army to liquidate the Qassam
threat. Israeli forces called off a raid after hundreds of Palestinians
formed a human shield around the home of the targeted local Popular Resistance
Committees chief Muhammad Barud in the N. Gaza town of Beit Lahiya.
Spain, France and Italy push Middle East peace initiative that does not
require Hamas government recognition of Israel
(November 18, 2006) - The plan calls for an
immediate ceasefire, a Palestinian national unity government, exchange of
prisoners, talks between Israeli prime minister and Mahmoud Abbas and an
international team of ceasefire monitors. There is also a European offer
to host a new peace conference. Spanish prime minister Jose Luis Rodriguez
Zapatero hopes to bring the UK and Germany aboard before the December EU
summit. DEBKAfile: The three largest European contributors to the
expanded UN force in Lebanon are pushing to expand their role to the Israel-Palestinian
front. The European monitors at the Rafah crossing between Egypt Sinai and
Gaza have not prevented the smuggling of tons arms and hundreds of million
dollars destined for Hamas fighting forces - largely from Iran. Senior Israeli
officials are not inclined to take the European initiative seriously at
this point. The Hamas prime minister said noncommittally it was worth studying. Of course anything coming out of Europe dealing with Israel seems to be completely biased. How can you pander to two sides when one doesn't want the other to exist and are indeed fighting to remain in existence with what is rightfully theirs by all counts. Don't fall into the deception being repeated like a mantra. Both Biblically and historically as well as militarily, the land is Israel's. Article: Whose land is it? The fire of the Holy Spirit sweeps over ‘The roof of the world’ (November 16, 2006) - Some 5,000 people in Himalayan region came to hear the life-giving message of God Almighty, experienced the powerful works of the Holy Spirit and 1,000 people came to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior during a unique “Healing Festival with handkerchief” led by a Korean mission team in Siliguri, West Bengal, India, on Tuesday, November 14. After experiencing the powerful works of the Holy Spirit on the first night of the healing festival on Monday, November 13, the congregation arrived early at HIMCORCE BHAWAN (Himalayan Conference & Retreat Center) located in Champsari Road, Siliguri, India to secure front seat waiting to hear the Gospel message and to experiencing God's power. Through hearing the testimonies of the first night, even many unbelievers including Hindus, Sikhs in their local clothing, attended the second night of the festival. Because of the large crowd, the management of HIMOCORCE BHAWAN were afraid of any possible accidents and asked the preparation committee to use the outside lawn grounds instead of the auditorium. Rev. Sam H. Sereng, the Founder & Director of Every Home for Christ Ministries, said in an interview with MANMIN TV, "People came from different parts of the region, even from neighboring countries like Nepal and Bhutan. More than 60% of the participants were unbelievers. We can recognize them easily by their outward appearance. Praise the Lord for this precious opportunity to guide them to salvation through Jesus Christ!" Praising our God Trinity, Dr. Adon Rongong, National Director of Campus Crusade for Christ Bhutan, opened in prayer at the start of the second night of the healing festival. more... Christianity being wiped from tales of U.S. history
(November 16, 2006) - When Pastor Todd DuBord
visited historical sites in the Washington, D.C., area recently he was thrilled
with being on the site of so many events important to the founding of the
United States. He, and his wife, Tracy, were on a tour that visited Jamestown,
Monticello, Mt. Vernon, Ford's Theater, the Pentagon, Capitol Hill, the
U.S. Supreme Court Building, the Holocaust Museum, Korean War Memorial,
World War II Memorial Vietnam Memorial, Washington Memorial, Jefferson Memorial
and Lincoln Memorial. But as a history buff, he noticed quickly that one
influence from the nation's early years was left out – not just once or
twice – but repeatedly. DuBord, pastor of the Lake Almanor Community Church
in California, said when visiting the Jamestown Museum and Settlement, and
Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, he noticed any of Christianity's influences
on American history were ignored, or belittled. His entire research compilation
is available online. And he's written letters to the various organizations
that manage the sites, asking them to correct the information they provide
to visitors. DuBord's message from July 23, 2006, on this issue can be heard
immediately, and for free, on the church website at
www.lacconline.org.
During his visit at Jamestown, he said, the tour guides several times said
the first settlers arrived in America "to make money." "While
this is partially true, it was not only totally overstated by its emphasis
and repetition, but there was absolutely no hint of the religious purpose
given and stated under the Virginia Charter of 1606, which called for the
'propagating of Christian religion to such people as yet live in darkness
and miserable ignorance of the true knowledge and worship of God.'"
He said there also was absolutely no mention of the fact the colonists'
first act, after having landed at Cape Henry on April 27, 1607, "was
to erect a large wooden cross and hold a prayer meeting, conducted by their
minister, Reverend Robert Hunt." "As colonist George Percy noted
back then, 'The nine and twentieth day we set up a cross at Chesupioc Bay,
and named the place Cape Henry,'" DuBord pointed out to the history
experts. more...
Alliance of Civilizations - THE REPORT - To advance the Alliance of
Civilizations, the UN Secretary-General established a High-level Group of
eminent personalities and tasked this Group with generating a report containing
an analysis of the rise in cross-cultural polarization and extremism and
a set of practical recommendations to counter this phenomenon. The High-level
Group met five times from November 2005 to November 2006, at the conclusion
of which it produced a report which takes a multi-polar approach within
which it prioritizes relations between Muslim and Western societies. The
report is structured in two parts: Part I presents an analysis of the global
context and of the state of relations between Muslim and Western societies.
It concludes with a set of policy recommendations, indicating the High-level
Group's belief that certain political steps are pre-requisites to any substantial
and lasting improvement in relations between Muslim and Western societies.
Part II of the report reflects the High-level Group's view that tensions
across cultures have spread beyond the political level into the hearts and
minds of populations. To counter this trend, the Group analyzes and presents
recommendations in each of four thematic areas: Education, Youth, Migration,
and Media. The Report concludes with the High-level Group's suggestions
for the implementation of its recommendations. The Report of the High-level
Group was presented to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and to Prime Ministers
José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and Recep Tayyip Erdoðan on 13 November 2006
at the final meeting of the High-level Group in Istanbul, Turkey.

The New Truth Herb L. Peters -FulfilledProphecy.com
(November 14, 2006) - This morning
I heard a Fox news reporter call it "fingerprints of 41." Later
I found a Fox news article that was also saying the same thing -- the Middle
East policies of the 41st presidency of George Bush Sr. are back
Read about it here. The UK's Independent is seeing the recent changes
in Washington the same way. In fact, according to their report, the real
reason Tony Blair may be calling for Syria and Iran to be included in the
international community's so-called "comprehensive" peace scheme
called for in U.N. Resolution 1701 is because of the influence of former
Secretary of State James Baker and the new Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
As you may know, both men are former members of the old Bush Sr.'s Administration
Read about it here. Friends, a major shift in America's policies towards
Israel is taking place. The so-called "ideological" support for
Israel is being swept aside and the so-called "more rational"
approach to Israel is reappearing. In fact, I suspect that is what the EU's
Javier Solana meant when he said, "there will be a new truth, a new
roadmap that will allow the international community to cooperate with the
Palestinian authorities"
Read about it here. With American power committed to salvaging a victory
out of Iraq, America's new strategic partner -- the EU -- has quickly stepped
into the vacuum. With Resolution 1701 providing legitimacy and their new
structures within NATO providing the ability, the EU is now attempting to
rise to their historic opportunity in the Mediterranean Basin. We students
of Bible prophecy have long wondered how it would happen -- how America
would ever step aside in the Middle East and allow Europe to step in. Now
we know. It's the new truth. Hamas spokesman says new Palestinian unity government will neither recognize Israel nor accept a two-state solution (November 14, 2006) - No story details, just the statements from the unity government that essentially declares peace will only happen when Israel doesn't exist.
DEBKA-Net-Weekly: Very recent Iranian-North Korean nuclear collusion revealed
(November 13, 2006) - A disturbing piece of
US intelligence was due to be laid before the US president George W. Bush’s
strategy review conference with the Iraq Study Group and talks with the
visiting Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert in Washington. It was bound
to color the two events which both took place Monday, Nov. 13: Twelve days
before North Korea’s first nuclear test on Oct.10, a secret Iranian military
delegation of nuclear and missile experts was present in Pyongyang. The
visitors were taken round North Korea’s Yongbyon reactor and the Punggye-ri
testing site in the far north amid the preparations for the coming North
Korean test. Some US officials received the impression that the Iranians
were briefed on some of North Korea’s secret preparations for the test.
If true, this would point to three developments in North Korean-Iranian
relations: First, China was in on the Iranian visit, but ignored it, preferring
Pyongyang to carry the can as Iran’s nuclear partner rather than Beijing.
Second, China must also have known about the coming North Korean nuclear
weapons test and only pretended to have been taken unawares by Pyongyang’s
ten-minute advance notice. Third, North Korea not only agreed to open its
most secret nuclear installations to Iranian scrutiny, but is also willing
to instruct Iranian scientists and technicians in Pyongyang or on their
home ground on how to set up and execute a nuclear weapons test. DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s
Tehran sources add: Iran’s overweening self-confidence in its ability to
carry through its nuclear aspirations in the teeth of international rancor
hinges heavily on its certainty of Sino-North Korean assistance. Annan links Arab-Israel to broad conflict (November 13, 2006) - U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Monday that any effort to stop growing violence between Islamic and Western societies must include an end to the Arab-Israeli conflict. Annan spoke after receiving a report from a high-level group of experts on ways to alleviate Muslim-Western clashes and misunderstandings. "We may wish to think of the Arab-Israeli conflict as just one regional conflict amongst many," said Annan, who leaves his post at the end of the year. "It is not. No other conflict carries such a powerful symbolic and emotional charge among people far removed from the battlefield." Annan said he would work along with his successor, Ban Ki-moon, to help implement the recommendations of the report, which called for renewed efforts toward the goal of establishing "two fully sovereign and independent states coexisting side by side in peace and security." "As long as the Palestinians live under occupation, exposed to daily frustration and humiliation, and as long as Israelis are blown up in buses and in dance halls, so long will passions everywhere be inflamed," Annan said. The report, drafted in the past year by a group of 20 prominent men and women, including former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami and South African activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu, called for an urgent international conference "to reinvigorate the Middle East peace process." more...
Solana Wants New Roadmap to Cooperate With PA
(November 13, 2006) - European Union foreign policy chief Javier
Solana said Monday he hoped that "there will be a new truth, a new
roadmap that will allow the international community to cooperate with the
Palestinian authorities." Solana made the comments to reporters as
he arrived for a meeting with EU foreign ministers in Brussels. The ministers
are expected to discuss latest developments in Palestine following the Israeli
killings in Beit Hanoun last week. Of course they're going to cooperate with the side responsible for the hostilities in the first place, the ones firing rockets into Israel forcing Israel to act in self-defense. After all, the whole world seems brainwashed with the mantra of occupation so they're blind to actual history and factual data. I guess that's how itching ears work though. Awaiting the Iranian Messiah (November 12, 2006)
- He challenges the largest superpower on earth, threatens a regional superpower
with annihilation, and mocks international efforts to keep tabs on his nuclear
program. Where does the unswerving confidence of Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad come from? To whom did Ahmadinejad refer when he told the United
Nations in September: “I emphatically declare that today's world, more
than ever before, longs for…the perfect righteous human being and real savior
who has been promised to all peoples and who will establish justice, peace,
and brotherhood on the planet. Almighty god [Allah]…make us among his followers
and among those who strive for his return and his cause?” According
to Shiite Islam, the 12th Imam, named Mahdi, is the awaited messiah who
will establish the rule of Islam around the world–following a massive war
during which Islam's enemies are expected to be decimated. Iran's official
state Web sites are filled with information about the Islamic republic's
messiah. “Imam Mahdi was unseen from the eyes of common people, and nobody
could see him except [a] special group of Shiites...After the martyrdom
of his father, he was appointed as the next imam. Then he was hidden by
god's [Allah’s] command, and he was just observable by the special deputies
of his own,” the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Web site declares.
The Web site also contains a special hadith (traditional) prayer, to be
recited on the birthday of the Mahdi: “Today is Friday, a day you are expected
to come; the faithful will be free of cares and troubles when you shall
arrive and, with one strike, shall put an end to the intrigues of the infidels.”
Speaking to Ynetnews, Professor Raymond Tanter, one of the authors of the
forthcoming book, “What Makes Iran Tick”–which explores the Shiite Islamist
ideology of Iran–said there was no questioning the belief of Iran's leaders
in the coming of the Mahdi. Tanter, President of the Iran Policy Committee–a
Washington-based organization comprised of former officials from the White
House, State Department, Pentagon, and intelligence services–said: “The
Iranian leadership, particularly Ahmadinejad, welcome the apocalyptic vision
of the return of the hidden Imam. And all the strains of Islam believe in
the eventual return of the Mahdi, also known as the 12th Imam, or the Shiite
messiah. After a period of great destruction, once the forces of evil are
defeated, the so-called 12th Imam is supposed to reign over a period of
great prosperity. “When Ahmadinejad was mayor of Tehran, he set up an urban
renewal program that would make it easier to facilitate the Mahdi's return.
He created passageways and roadways that would allow the Mahdi to return
triumphantly. He operationalized this concept. The Iranian president did
not view himself as the Shiite messiah though. more... Ezekiel 38,39 - Gog/Magog is my best guess right now. Given the news we've been seeing, all the players are set up, even so far as troops building up on the Northern border of Israel, and all the world is actually requesting it, including Israel! Ahmadinejad defiantly declares the soon destruction of the state of Israel publicly and everything seems pretty set up for it. I think the 12th Mahdi will end up being the false prophet who will bring Islam to bow before the beast. He's expected to come out of a well which reminds me of Revelation 13 calling him the beast that comes from the earth. It's looking more and more like the Pope will be bringing much of the Catholic church to eventually worship the beast from the sea along with Islam and all other religions in an all-inclusive new world religion that will have one man at it's head. It seems to fit, but each is their own judge. Keep watching!
Loose Ends Herb L. Peters -FulfilledProphecy.com
(November 11, 2006) - Loose ends appear to
be coming together. Once again there are news reports saying a Palestinian
coalition government many be on the scene by the end of the year. But, what
struck me the most about this report is the way it ended. The report says:
"Peace and security will not be realized under occupation and settlement
and the inclusion of noble Jerusalem into Israel," Mr. Abbas told a
crowd of thousands of Palestinians
Read about it here. The reason these words interested me is because
there is another way they could have been said. They could have just as
accurately been stated: You [Israel] will not have your cry for "peace
and safety" answered until you get off the lands you captured in the
Six Day War and give up East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. If you
recall, the EU's Javier Solana has made returning Israel to the pre 1967
borders the cornerstone of his comprehensive peace agreement for the Middle
East. And President Bush has brought in former Secretary of State James
Baker to help formulate his Administration's new directions in the region.
Baker, under the Bush Sr. presidency, showed himself to be on much the same
page as that of Solana. In fact, Solana has stated that his own introduction
into the Middle East peace process began at the 1991 Madrid Conference.
It was this international conference at Madrid that set the idea of trading
land for peace in motion. And Baker, following the Madrid Conference, set
a course in American's foreign policy in the same direction. In fact, I
write in detail about this in my book. That's why Baker being back on the
scene may be an important part of bringing the loose pieces of Bible prophecy
together. As far as a coalition Palestinian government is concerned, that's
important too. You see, for a peace deal to be reached, there first has
to be a Palestinian government in place with which Israel can make an agreement.
And, by January 1, 2007, it looks like it will be there. Loose ends are
coming together.
Israel Develops Laser to Destroy Roadside Bombs
(November 8, 2006) - Rafael and American defense
contractor General Dynamics have produced and deployed the system called
Thor. It uses the concentrated energy of a high-powered laser to clear unexploded
bombs and improvised explosive devices. “The directed energy from the laser
may also be used to ignite combustible materials, as a standoff cutting
torch, and for other combat purposes,” General Dynamics said in a statement
about the project ahead of US moves to purchase and deploy the system in
its army. Thor combines the Israeli-produced high-energy laser with the
Browning M2 12.7-mm machine gun, made by General Dynamics, to destroy explosive
devices. The weapon is used with a remote operator control station or mounted
on a vehicle or bomb-squad robot. The Thor system includes sensors that
work either in day or nighttime conditions to detect the hidden explosive
charge. The developers report that the Thor system has already been deployed
in combat operations. “Thor has demonstrated combat effectiveness in operational
engagements, bringing an additional precision fire gun platform to the fight,
while at the same time filling a unique tactical mission role,” Rafael announced.
The developers explain that the directed energy from the laser is capable
of rapidly clearing unexploded devices by inducing a low-order burning or
deflagration reaction in the explosive material from a safe distance. “The
kinetic energy from the 12.7mm bullet fired by the M2 functions as a standoff
disrupter, destroying fusing, thick-cased munitions, and booby traps, [and]
also enabling distancing explosive hazards away from the force route. The
M2 machine gun ultimately provides accurate, direct fire upon enemy forces
and targets in either an offensive or defensive role.” The Armament Development
Authority is supported by Israel’s Ministry of Defense and designs, develops,
manufactures, and supplies a wide range of advanced defense systems.

IDF girds for possibility of war with Syria, Hezbollah in 2007
(November 6, 2006) - Syria and Hezbollah are
likely to start a war against Israel next summer, according to General Staff
assessments that have been gathered during a series of meetings in recent
weeks. While there is no specific estimate concerning the timing of a potential
attack, all preparations are being made to ensure maximum preparedness in
advance of summer 2007. Since the lessons of the war in Lebanon have not
yet been finalized in reports, it was decided to consider 2007 as an interim
period, and to make decisions concerning a multiple-year force build-up
only at the end of that year. Meanwhile, two important interim decisions
were made during the recent deliberations: The development, within three
years, of a system capable of intercepting 220 mm. and 302 mm. surface-to-surface
rockets, of the sort that Hezbollah used to target Haifa and other towns
during the recent war; and to wait to make a final decision with respect
to cancellation of the Merkava tank production line. The rocket interceptor
system will be developed on the basis of existing missiles, and according
to future developments of these platforms. Regarding the Merkava, an analysis
of the use of tanks during the fighting in Lebanon in the July-August campaign,
and particularly the performance of the Merkava Mark-4, suggests that if
properly deployed, the tank can provide its crew with better protection
than in the past. more... Signs of the Times (November 4, 2006) - I don't know about you, but I am beginning to distrust the weatherman. It seems like when they tell us it will be warm, it's cold; when they tell us it will be rainy, it's sunny. It seems like I could do just as good of a job of predicting the weather for the day by simply looking out of my window. Jesus said, "You have a saying that goes, 'Red sky at night, sailor's delight; red sky at morning, sailors take warning.' You find it easy enough to forecast the weather – why can't you read the signs of the times? (Matthew16:2-3 The Message) In the same way, all you have to do is pick up your morning paper, watch the news on TV or read WorldNetDaily to see "signs of the times." And what do these "signs" tell us? That Jesus Christ is coming back! Jesus mentioned certain signs, or "birth pains," that would indicate the time of His return and the end of the world: Matthew 24:4-8 Are we seeing evidence that these signs are appearing in greater and greater frequency in our generation? Let's consider some of the facts. more... I disagree with his closing remarks that mark the harpazo as occurring pre-tribulation, but he's right about all the signs leading up to it. I won't get into it here, but my view on the harpazo is that it is pre-wrath. There is more detailed information on this and other Bible prophecies about our future on the Watchman Bible Study Guide.
Eye of the Storm: The 'Iranization' of Syria
(November 3, 2006) - While there is much talk of continued Syrian
machinations in Lebanon, little attention is paid to an Iranian plan to
remodel Syria into a Khomeinist state. The Teheran-Damascus axis that challenges
the United States in the Middle East was first formed in 1980 when Saddam
Hussein invaded Iran in the hope of destroying the newly created Islamic
Republic. At first, the Khomeinist regime in Iran and the Ba'athist dictatorship
in Syria seemed unlikely allies. The Khomeinists followed a radical Shi'ite
ideology aimed at global jihad in the name of their brand of Islam. The
Syrian Ba'athists, on the other hand, were secularists inspired by an Arabized
version of National Socialism aimed at uniting Arab countries under one
flag and one party. The Iran-Iraq war brought the two together for a simple
reason: the Syrians knew that if Saddam won he would become the unrivaled
Arab supremo, marginalizing the Syrian Ba'ath and eventually toppling the
regime of President Hafez Assad. The mullahs knew that only Syria could
prevent a unified Arab bloc to back Saddam. The mullahs had to pay for Syrian
support in the form of cut-price oil and an annual cash handout of $150
million. In 1982 the two furthered their alliance by sponsoring the Lebanese
branch of Hizbullah. All along, however, the Syrians were careful not to
be totally hooked to the Iranian strategy. Hafez Assad insisted on meeting
every American president and maintained close contact with Washington. He
was also ruthless when it came to Islamist tendencies, even if that meant
massacring thousands of people. Even in Lebanon, Assad did not put all his
eggs in the Iranian basket and insisted on having his own Shi'ite outlet
in the form of Nabih Berri's Amal movement. more...
Prodi Heads to Eygpt to Push for ME Peace Plan
(November 20, 2006) - Italian Premier Romano
Prodi was heading to Cairo Monday for talks with Egyptian President Hosni
Mubarark as Italy pushes for a European peace plan for the Middle East.
Prodi was scheduled to arrive in Cairo in the early evening. The two men
were scheduled to hold a joint news conference after their talks, aides
to Prodi said. The Italian premier will meet with the Egyptian prime minister
on Tuesday. Last week, France, Italy and Spain presented a Middle East peace
initiative, asserting that Europe must move to the forefront of efforts
to try to end years of Israeli-Palestinian bloodshed.
Annan urges Syria and Iran to help Lebanon (November
19, 2006) - UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan pressed Syria and Iran
yesterday to help promote the stability of Lebanon after the resignation
of six of its government ministers. Annan spoke by telephone with Iranian
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Syrian head of state Bashar Al Assad about
developments in Lebanon and the need for governments in the region and around
the world "to promote the stability and the unity of Lebanon",
UN chief spokesman Stephane Dujarric said. Annan urged the two presidents
to counsel Lebanon's leaders "to exercise patience and resolve their
differences through dialogue", Dujarric said. Five ministers from Shiite
groups Hezbollah and Amal quit the Lebanese Cabinet a week ago when talks
over giving the opposition a greater say in government collapsed. A sixth
minister, loyal to pro-Syrian President Emile Lahoud, resigned on Monday.
Meanwhile, Lahoud said the country would have a "national government"
no matter what the cost. He said the situation was "delicate because
what is happening violates the Taif agreement and the constitution".
The Taif agreement ended Lebanon's 1975-1990 civil war. "I promise
you that Lebanon will witness the establishment of a national government
no matter what the cost and if that does not happen the price will be high,
especially for future generations," Lahoud said in a statement. We see in Ezekiel 38,39 that Persia (Iran) is one of the attackers. Their increased involvement in Lebanon to the North of Israel, where Muslim Russian and Turkish "peacekeeping troops" are being positioned, falls right in line with Bible prophecy in this regard. Also, Isaiah 17 says Damascus will be a ruinous heap. In verse 9, it talks about the strong cities being forsaken, left because of the children of Israel. Israel has been discussing pre-emptive attacks against Damascus, Syria because it houses so many terrorist leaders and is responsible for much of the weapons smuggling going on. Israel has good reasons to attack Damascus, mainly all the threats coming from Damascus about Israel's demise: Oct. 11, Sept. 21, July 12, and Israel's warning and threat to hit Damascus specifically on July 1. It's all in Bible prophecy about the end times and it's being reported in the news today. Keep watching!
Use of human shields continues in Gaza (November
19, 2006) - Palestinian residents flocked to the home of a Hamas
operative Monday to prevent the Israeli army from carrying out an airstrike.
It was the latest instance of Palestinians volunteering to serve as human
shields to protect a home of a targeted terror operative. The protest began
shortly after Wael Rajab received a phone call from the army ordering him
to leave his home. In recent months, the army has frequently issued such
warnings ahead of airstrikes against weapons-storage sites and other militant
targets, saying it wants to avoid casualties. The army had no immediate
comment on Monday's incident. But military officials have said they do not
yet know how to deal with the issue. Fearing terrorists will continue to
exploit civilians as human shields around terror targets in the Gaza Strip,
a high-ranking officer said Sunday that the IDF was prepared to launch ground
raids into the Palestinian territory to demolish buildings that could not
be destroyed in airstrikes. Late Saturday night, hundreds of Palestinians,
including women and children, surrounded the home of Mohammedweil Baroud
- head of the Popular Resistance Committees' (PRC) Kassam rocket cell -
after he received a warning from the IDF late Saturday night giving him
30 minutes to leave his house in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya.
Out of fear that innocent bystanders would be injured, the IDF called off
the air strike. Calling residents ahead of airstrikes on suspected weapons-storage
and manufacturing sites is a routine tactic the IDF employs in the Gaza
Strip and also used over the summer during the month-long war in Lebanon
during which thousands of targets were struck by Israeli missiles. The incident
in Beit Lahiya on Sunday however, was the first time Palestinians have tried
to prevent such an air strike and represents, officials said, a change in
tactics to try and prevent the IAF missile strikes.
Report: Olmert orders killing of Hamas politicians
(November 19, 2006) - In order to stop Kassam
rocket attacks, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has ordered his security chiefs
to target the Hamas political leadership, the British Sunday Times
newspaper reported on Sunday. The Times said that according to Israeli
security sources, a decision to assassinate leading Hamas politicians was
made by Olmert and Defense Minister Amir Peretz. According to the report,
Israel was determined to ensure the political leadership in Gaza, the West
Bank and abroad would "no longer escape responsibility" for the
rocket attacks.
'Bush doesn't think America should be an actual place'
(November 19, 2006) - President Bush believes
America should be more of an idea than an actual place, a Republican congressman
told WND in an exclusive interview. "People have to understand what
we're talking about here. The president of the Untied States is an internationalist,"
said Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo. "He is going to do what he can to create
a place where the idea of America is just that – it's an idea. It's not
an actual place defined by borders. I mean this is where this guy is really
going." Tancredo lashed out at the White House's lack of action in
securing U.S. borders, and said efforts to merge the U.S. with both Mexico
and Canada is not a fantasy. "I know this is dramatic – or maybe somebody
would say overly dramatic – but I'm telling you, that everything I see leads
me to believe that this whole idea of the North American Union, it's not
something that just is written about by right-wing fringe kooks. It is something
in the head of the president of the United States, the president of Mexico,
I think the prime minister of Canada buys into it. ... "And they would
just tell you, 'Well, sure, it's a natural thing. It's part of the great
globalization ... of the economy.' They assume it's a natural, evolutionary
event that's going to occur here. I hope they're wrong and I'm going to
try my best to make sure they're wrong. But I'm telling you the tide is
great. The tide is moving in their direction. We have to say that."

European trio presenting new Mideast peace plan
(November 17, 2006) - Spain, France and Italy
offered a Middle East peace initiative yesterday, asserting that Europe
must take a lead role in trying to end years of Israeli-Palestinian bloodshed
they called intolerable. The five-point blueprint closely mirrors a deal
the moderate Palestinian president is offering Hamas to form a national
unity government and makes no explicit reference to requiring Hamas to recognize
Israel -- a key sticking point blocking the resumption of Western aid to
the impoverished Palestinians. It was not immediately clear whether the
initiative, put forward by Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero,
was an effort to get the aid flowing again without such a declaration from
Hamas. Mr. Zapatero announced the plan at a summit with President Jacques
Chirac of France. Italy is also on board, Mr. Zapatero said, and Spain hopes
to win the endorsement of Britain and Germany and the broader European Union
in the run-up to a December summit in Brussels, Belgium. "We cannot
remain impassive in the face of the horror that continues to unfold before
our eyes," Mr. Zapatero told a news conference in this coastal city
near the border with France. The Israeli government declined to comment
on the new plan. The plan has five components: an immediate cease-fire;
formation of a national unity government by the Palestinians that can gain
international recognition; an exchange of prisoners, including the Israeli
soldiers whose capture sparked the war in Lebanon and fighting in Gaza;
talks between Israel's prime minister and the Palestinian president; and
an international mission in Gaza to monitor a cease-fire. more...
Israel secretly studies 'bold' peace bid (November
1 6, 2006) - Bedevilled by the continuing scourge of homemade Qassam
rocket attacks, Israeli officials are believed to be exploring a new diplomatic
overture that calls for the surrender of large swathes of the West Bank
to a new Palestinian leadership in exchange for a decade-long ceasefire.
The plan, still in the formative stages, was outlined yesterday in the Hebrew
daily Ma'ariv as a "bold and original" initiative that
would enable the creation of a provisional Palestinian state as a first
step toward normalization with Palestinians and the wider Arab world. Israeli
President Ehud Olmert secretly presented the concept to President George
W. Bush during a meeting at the White House Monday, the Ma'ariv report
said, citing unnamed political sources in Washington and Jerusalem. Palestinian
and Israeli officials refused comment on the initiative, which Ma'ariv
described as "consensual realignment" — a term that implies
Israel now is willing to involve Palestinians in a negotiated withdrawal
from parts of the West Bank, where more than 250,000 Jewish settlers live
on land conquered by Israel during the 1967 Six Day War. But Ghassan Khatib,
a senior Palestinian political figure, told the Toronto Star that
diplomats working beneath the radar have begun "an exchange of views
about the potential of moving forward on the basis of a long-term ceasefire
of 10 or even 15 years." Leaders of the militant Hamas movement have
for many years spoken of such a long-term hudna, or ceasefire, but
only on the condition of a full Israeli withdrawal to the pre-1967 armistice
lines — terms deemed unacceptable to the Israeli leadership. more...
Democrat win paves way for Mideast 'chaos' (November
14, 2006) - The Democrats' midterm election victories last week and
the subsequent resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld sent a message
of American weakness to Syria that will likely result in "instability
and chaos" in Lebanon and other parts of the Middle East, Lebanon's
Druze Leader Walid Jumblatt said in a WND interview today. Jumblatt is head
of Lebanon's Progressive Socialist Party and is widely considered the most
prominent anti-Syrian Lebanese politician. He charged the Democrats' calls
for a withdrawal from Iraq and for changes in U.S. Middle East policy in
part emboldened the Syrian-backed Hezbollah militia to bolt the Lebanese
parliament this past weekend and to threaten street protests that many say
could easily turn violent. Hezbollah's parliamentary departure threw into
crisis the composure of the majority anti-Syrian Lebanese government, with
some in parliament stating the government is no longer legitimate. "The
Syrians play this game where they have been waiting for the Americans to
get weaker in Iraq," said Jumblatt. "Now with the Democrat's win
paving the way for an American withdrawal and with Rumsfeld's resignation
making a statement, the Syrians believe they have the upper hand in the
region to retake Lebanon." "The Syrians are trying to profit from
the circumstances by creating havoc and by using Hezbollah to stage a coup
d'etat to get rid of us (the anti-Syrian parliamentary majority),"
Jumblatt said. more...
World's most deadly bugs... in the hands of terrorists
(November 14, 2006) - New technology that
would give terrorists the power to create deadly bacteria and viruses from
scratch is only years away from completion and threatens to make existing
controls on biological weapons obsolete, experts warned yesterday. Synthetic
biology is an emerging field that allows scientists to build micro-organisms
from simple genetic material, in theory enabling the creation of deadly
pathogens such as ebola or anthrax without access to existing stockpiles
of the bugs. The technology could also allow terrorists or scientists in
rogue states to jumble the genetic signature of the bugs in order to render
them unrecognisable to health experts dealing with an outbreak, potentially
delaying treatment and preventing authorities from tracing the origin of
an attack. The concerns were raised at a biosecurity conference at Edinburgh
University yesterday in the run-up to a major review of the Biological Weapons
Convention in Geneva later this month. Dr Ronald Atlas, a biosecurity expert,
from the University of Louisville in the United States, said there was a "loophole"
in current oversight measures. "The looming threat right now is what
synthetic biologists can do. "There is significant oversight over who
can acquire ebola or Marburg. But with synthetic biology, you can potentially
synthesise de novo [from scratch] so you don't have to get the viruses from
someone. If you can synthesise without the organism, by just taking chemicals,
mixing them together and making Marburg; if I can just go out and make it
from a chemistry set, that is a looming threat and in the near future that
technical barrier is going to be falling." Scientists have already
shown how easy it can be to create synthetic viruses. more... Revelation 6:8 I tend to agree with Chuck Missler that this may refer to biological weapons (venomous beasts of the soil). I think it's interesting that this article itself uses the term "deadly bugs," which are very small organisms that are like poison to our bodies (they kill us). I believe that Islam may be the green horse. If this is the case, then this story seems to be touching on the partial fulfillment of it.
Ahmadinejad: Israel’s destruction near (November
13, 2006) - According to the Iranian media Monday, Iranian President
Mahoud Ahmadinejad declared that Israel was destined to ‘disappearance and
destruction’ at a council meeting with Iranian ministers. “The western powers
created the Zionist regime in order to expand their control of the area.
This regime massacres Palestinians everyday, but since this regime is against
nature, we will soon witness its disappearance and destruction,” Ahmadinejad
said.
Palestinian FM accepts Arab Proposal For Peace Conference
(November 13, 2006) - Palestinian Foreign
Minister Mahmoud Zahar accepted an Arab proposal on Sunday for a peace conference
to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Arab diplomats said. ''The
ministers call to convene a peace conference attended by Arab parties, Israel
and the permanent members of the UN Security Council in order to reach a
just and comprehensive settlement to the Arab-Israeli conflict on all tracks
according to international resolutions and the principal of 'land for
peace','' the officials said. Israel has stated they are not giving up Jerusalem and Muslims won't accept peace without going to pre-1967 borders, which means Israel giving up Jerusalem. However, there will be a false "peace" that will put the Jewish and Muslim temples next to each other on the Temple Mount. I could be wrong, but I think this will only happen after the Gog/Magog armies are stopped in the mountains of Israel. If you read through Isaiah 17, you will see a sequence of Damascus destruction and the cities forsaken "because of the children of Israel." Then at the end of the chapter, God rebukes many nations "chased as chaff of the mountains before the wind." I believe we can then expect someone like Javier Solana to step in and do some amazing political shenanigans to accomplish the apparent peace.
'Israel Must Prepare For Full-Scale War' (November
13, 2006) - Israel has to prepare for a full-scale war, in which
Syria will be an important player, an Israeli military official told the
British Sunday Times. "The challenge from Iran and Syria is
now top of the Israeli defense agenda, higher than the Palestinian one,"
another official said. The recent war with Hizbullah and the threat that
Iran could achieve nuclear weapons capability have led Israel to reexamine
its defense strategies, and focus on the region's two major supporters of
terrorism, IDF sources have said recently. One conclusion is that Israel
has allocated too much time and energy to addressing the terror threat posed
by Palestinian groups in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. According to
London's International Institute for Strategic Studies, both Iran and Syria
have ballistic missiles whose range extends over most of Israel, including
Tel Aviv. Funds have reportedly been approved for the construction of appropriately
equipped shelters. Eyeing Syria, the IDF has formed a new infantry brigade,
known as Kfir (young lion), as a countermeasure against Syria's commando
forces, which are considered "better" than Hizbullah guerrillas,
a military source informed the Times. The IDF is also reportedly
integrating three elite brigades in preparation for them cooperating on
deep cross-border operations into Syria and Iran. more... Hmm... And it just so happens that Israel is looking at having to go to war with Syria and Iran! On top of that, we have Russian-Muslim and Turkish "peacekeeping troops" piling up on the Northern border of Israel in Lebanon. There were also the Iranian Republican Guards that were found dead in Lebanon during the earlier war this year. Given Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 38, and Ezekiel 39 I think this is a pretty big coincidence, eh?!
Iran in UN protest over Israel 'military threats'
(November 12, 2006) - Iran has complained
to the United Nations over a "series of threats" after an Israeli
official refused to rule out a military strike against the Islamic republic,
the IRNA agency reports. Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran's ambassador to the
United Nations, submitted the complaint to Secretary General Kofi Annan
and the Security Council on Friday following the comments by Israeli Deputy
Defence Minister Ephraim Sneh. "The letter, underlining threats from
Sneh and other Israeli officials, regards these statements as illegal, ridiculous
and a sign of the Zionist regime's criminal policies and terrorist intentions,"
the state agency said. Sneh had told the Jerusalem Post on Friday he considered
military action against Iran as a "last resort. But even the last resort
is sometimes the only resort." His comments were seen as the clearest
statement yet by an Israeli official that military strikes against Iran
over its refusal to halt sensitive nuclear activities were not excluded.
more... I can't believe this, ok I can. What a bunch of manipulative whiney babies. Let me remind everyone of the kinds of comments from Ahmadinejad about wiping Israel off the map that may lead Israel to leave war with Iran on the table of possibilities. I'll bet this whining is looked at with sincerity in the UN though. As sick as this kind of stuff makes me, it fits with Bible prophecy yet again. The whole world is uniting against Israel calling good bad and bad good. Another clue of Satanic influence is how he is always 180 degrees out of phase with the Truth. Like Hitler knew well though, if you say it loud enough and long enough, people will believe you. I hope this newsletter is presenting the Truth being declared in that same fashion and encourage you to share it with anyone you know that might be interested in watching too.
Olmert: 'I am ready for territorial compromises'
(November 13, 2006) - "I don't intend
to go into details about the upcoming contact with the Palestinians,"
Olmert said just before landing in the US. Olmert also repeated his refusal
to specify what Israel's "many options" on the growing Iranian
crisis were. Olmert reiterated the statements he gave Saturday in an interview
to Newsweek-Washington Post that Iran would agree to compromise on
its nuclear program only if it had a real reason to fear reprisals for failing
to comply. Olmert added that he was under no diplomatic pressure to meet
with Bush, but thought it appropriate to do so on his way to the 2006 General
Assembly in Los Angeles. Before leaving for Washington on Saturday night,
the prime minister reaffirmed his commitment to territorial withdrawal from
Judea and Samaria. "You can read my lips: 'I'm ready for territorial
compromises‚ and I haven't changed my mind," Olmert said in the
Newsweek interview. In the interview, Olmert breathed new life into
the realignment plan, which would see Israel retain highly populated settlement
blocs within Judea and Samaria and relinquish isolated areas. Until now,
analysts had assumed that Olmert had dropped the plan. But on Saturday he
said it could still be on the table, with some modifications. more...
Ancient Egyptian City In the Grand Canyon? (November
20, 2006) - The Gazette article, dated April 5,1909, starts
with four headlines, "Explorations in Grand Canyon", "Mysteries
of Immense Rich Cavern Being Brought to Light", "JORDAN IS ENTHUSED"
and "Remarkable Finds Indicate Ancient People Migrated From Orient."
The story then continued (quoted here in full): "The latest news of
the progress of the explorations of what is now regarded by scientists as
not only the oldest archaeological discovery in the United States, but one
of the most valuable in the world, which was mentioned some time ago in
the Gazette, was brought to the city by G.E. Kinkaid, the explorer
who found this great underground citadel of the Grand Canyon during a trip
from Green River, Wyoming, down the Colorado river, in a wooden boat, to
Yuma, several months ago. According to the story related to the Gazette,
the archaeologists of the Smithsonian Institute, which is financing the
explorations, have made discoveries which almost conclusively prove that
the race which inhabited this mysterious cavern, hewn in solid rock by human
hands, was of oriental origin, possibly from Egypt, tracing back to Rameses.
If their theories are born out by the translation of the tablets engraved
with hieroglyphics, the mystery of the prehistoric peoples of North America,
their ancient arts, who they were and whence they came, will be solved.
Egypt and the Nile, and Arizona and the Colorado will be linked by a historical
chain running back to ages which stagger the wildest fancy of the fictionist. "Under
the direction of Professor S.A. Jordan, the Smithsonian is now pursuing
the most thorough explorations, which will be continued until the last link
in the chain is forged. Nearly a mile underground, about 1480 feet below
the surface, the long main passage has been delved into, to find another
mammoth chamber from which radiates scores of passageways, like the spokes
of a wheel. Several hundred rooms have been discovered, reached by passageways
running from the main passage, one of them having been explored for 854
feet and another 634 feet. The recent finds include articles, which have
never been known as native to this country and that doubtless they had their
origin in the orient. War weapons, copper instruments, sharp edged and hard
as steel, indicate the high state of civilization reached by these strange
people. So interested have the scientists become that preparations are being
made to equip the camp for extensive studies, and the force will be increased
to thirty or forty persons. "Before going further into the cavern,
better facilities for lighting will have to be installed, for the darkness
is dense and quite impenetrable for the average flashlight. In order to
avoid being lost, wires are being strung from the entrance to all passageways
leading directly to large chambers. How far this cavern extends no one can
guess, but it is now the belief of many that what has already been explored
is merely the ‘barracks’, to use an American term, for the soldiers, and
that further into the underworld will be found the main communal dwellings
of the families. The perfect ventilation of the cavern, the steady draught
that blows through, indicates that it has another outlet to the surface."
more... Related to this story is research by Jonathan Gray, who I first heard on Coast to Coast AM discussing his research into immense cave/tunnel systems that run all across the planet. Read more examples of this here. This sounds exactly like what he has discovered. This was in the beginning of last century though, before big government cover-ups, etc. It's just hard to un-publish magazines. Mega-pastor Rick Warren’s Damascus Road experience (November 20, 2006) - Rick Warren, the superstar mega-church pastor and bestselling author of “The Purpose Driven Life,” had a Damascus Road experience last week – and like Saul of Tarsus, one of the after-effects appears to be blindness. Warren went to Syria and could find no persecution of Christians. He could find no persecution of Jews. He could find no evidence of extremism. He could find no evidence of the sponsorship of terrorism. Despite the temporary loss of vision that prevented him from seeing any evil in the totalitarian police state, Warren’s hearing was apparently not affected – for his ears were tickled by what he heard and apparently accepted lock, stock and barrel from the second-generation dictator, Bashar Assad, and his state-approved mufti. But that’s not the story Warren is telling – at least not in the official press releases he is sending out from Rwanda in response to my confrontations with him last week in which I accused him of betraying his own country in a hostile foreign land and of being a propaganda tool of the Islamo-fascist regime in Damascus. In fact, after I called him out last week in my column, Warren e-mailed me claiming to have been misquoted by the official Syrian news agency. “Joseph, why didn’t you contact me first and discover the fact that I said nothing of the sort?” he pleaded. “The trip was a favor to my next door neighbor, had nothing to do with policy, and was done with the State Department’s knowledge – who told us to expect exactly what Syria did – a PR blast. I don’t pretend to be a diplomat. I’m a pastor who just gets invited places.” He let me know he is a close friend of President Bush “and many, if not most, of the generals at the Pentagon.” He also told me he did not tape anything while in Syria, “because it was a courtesy call, like I do in every country.” Warren explained that he had also counseled with the National Security Council and the White House, as well as the State Department, before his little courtesy call for a neighbor. “In fact,” Warren added, “as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Oxford Analytica, I might know as much about the Middle East as you.” He continued: “I hope you’ll not choose to believe Syrian propaganda even though, as you pointed out at the start of your article, you’ve been wanting to criticize me for some time. In spite of your rush to judgment, I think you write great, insightful columns. You are almost batting 1,000.” No sooner had I received this surprising response from Warren, I also got an e-mail providing a link to a YouTube video of Rick Warren in Syria explaining how great the Assad regime treats Christians and Jews and how Damascus “does not permit extremism of any kind.” Not one to let lies go unchallenged, I wrote back to Warren with a link to the YouTube video: “If you didn’t tape anything, what’s this? Do you really believe Syria does not allow extremism of any kind? There are more terrorist organizations based in Syria than anywhere else in the world!” It might be that Rick Warren, deep in the bush of Rwanda, never received those last questions, because he never responded – at least not in the last three days. He did, however, within minutes make sure the YouTube video he recorded independent of his meetings with the Syrian brown shirts was removed from the network. Vanished. Kaput. Sterilized. Cleansed. Stay tuned for more on Rick Warren’s “Agenda-Driven Life” in the coming days – sponsored, of course, by the Council on Foreign Relations. more... Why is Obama's evil in Rick Warren's pulpit? (November 17, 2006) - Rick Warren, the best selling author of "The Purpose Driven Life" and senior teaching pastor at Saddleback Church in California, has invited Sen. Barack Obama to speak to the congregation of the faithful on Dec. 1, 2006. In doing so, he has joined himself with one of the smoothest politicians of our times, and also one whose wickedness in worldview contradicts nearly every tenet of the Christian faith that Warren professes. So the question is "why?" Why would Warren marry the moral equivalency of his pulpit – a sacred place of honor in evangelical tradition – to the inhumane, sick and sinister evil that Obama has worked for as a legislator? According to press reports, it is because of a mutual respect that each feels towards the other over the HIV/AIDS pandemic on the African continent. That rationale, however, is not only dishonest, but is not even logical given the two distinct positions that the men come to on the matter. Because of this supposed shared concern, Warren is ready to turn over the spiritual mantle to a man who represents the views of Satan at worst or progressive anti-God liberals at best in most of his public positions on the greatest moral tests of our time. Warren's stand on the matter in this instance is what is in doubt – not Obama's! Barack Obama has a long history of defying the intended morality of Scripture. As a state legislator, he actively worked to preserve availability of abortion in all nine months of pregnancy. He opposed parental notification. He opposed any and all bans on partial-birth abortion (an act that includes delivery of the baby up to the head, the crushing of the baby's brain, the suctioning of the brain matter, and then completed delivery of the child's deflated cranium). In his run for the U.S. Senate, Obama even asked his wife to pen a letter to Illinois voters that reassured them of his commitment to fighting for the right to butcher children in the womb. Barack Obama has long supported the advance of the radical homosexual activist lobby in its pursuit to destroy traditional marriage. He supported the creation of "special rights" for people who engage in homosexuality for the sole purpose of putting them at the front of the line on issues of employment, housing and litigation. He has also solidly backed the advancement of all "hate crimes" legislation, which ultimately may be used to silence clergy who believe according to their own convictions that homosexual behavior is wrong and preach so from biblical texts. Obama has a perfect voting record against the defense of marriage. more...
Iranian Paper: Great War to Wipe Out Israel Coming
(November 15, 2006) - Iranian newspapers Kehyan
and and Resalat have urged Muslims around the world to prepare for a 'great
war' to destroy the State of Israel. The newspapers published the editorials,
translated from Persian by MEMRI , the Middle East translation service,
to mark 'Quds' day on October 20, an Iranian 'holiday' calling for the "liberation"
of Jerusalem and war against Israel. "Hizbullah destroyed at least
half of Israel in the Lebanon war... Now only half the path (to its destruction)
remains," an editorial in the conservative Keyhan newspaper declared.
Messianic nukes? Awaiting the Iranian messiah / Yaakov Lappin
A glimpse into the apocalyptic ideology gripping the Iranian government "It
was proven that, by means of an offensive operation that need not be equal
to Israel's moves, it is possible to neutralize the Zionist navy,"
the article said triumphantly. It continued: "Just as in one 33-day
war more than 50 percent of Israel was destroyed, and the hope of its supporters
for the continued life of this regime was broken, it is likely that in the
next battle, the second half will also collapse." "On that day...
Jordan will not be able to prevent the Jordanian Islamists from operating
through the long Jordan-Palestine border, and the millions of Egyptian Islamists...
will not let the Sinai-Israel border remain quiet, and the Syrian Golan
Heights will not remain as a (mere) observer of the battle. That day is
not so far off." The Resalat newspaper struck a similarly bellicose
tone with an editorial entitled "Preparations for the Great War." "The
great war is ahead of us, (and will break out) perhaps tomorrow, or in another
few days, or in a few months, or even in a few Years... Israel must collapse,"
the newspaper said. It added: "For the first time in the 60 years of
its disgraceful life, the Zionist regime - the West's beloved in the Middle
East - tasted the taste of defeat, and the citizens of this regime trembled
at the menace of Hizbullah's missiles… The nation of Muslims must prepare
for the great war, so as to completely wipe out the Zionist regime, and
remove this cancerous growth. Like the Imam (Ayatollah) Khomeini said: 'Israel
must collapse.'"
Palestinian Television: Suicide is Most Glorious Death of All
(November 13, 2006) - Death by carrying out
a suicide operation is one of the most glorious ways to die and is rewarded
with eternal paradise and 72 dark-eyed virgins, according to a religious
instruction broadcast last week on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud
Abbas' state-run television. The lesson, delivered by a PA religious cleric,
instructed Palestinians to strive for a violent death in which the martyred
corpse has "no head, no legs, his body completely burned . . . intestines
outside, fingers . . . gone.” "Oh God, bring us back [to earth] to
be killed by the Apache. Bring us back so that the planes will blow us up,
that our heads will be cut off from the body,'' proclaimed Sheik Imad Hamato
on official PA television run by Abbas' Fatah party. According to a translation
by
Palestinian Media Watch Hamato urged Palestinians to die in jihad. "There
is one thing that causes Allah…to elevate his worshipper 100 levels in Paradise,
and each level is like the space between heaven and earth. And what is this
thing, Allah’s prophet [Muhammad]? It's the Jihad for Allah. Jihad for Allah."
The Palestinian sheikh uses Islamic doctrine to justify suicide terrorism.
Citing the Hadith, or Islamic oral tradition, Hamoto compares a friend of
Muhammad who was killed accidentally using his own sword to the perpetrator
of a suicide bombing. "[According to the] Hadith: One of the Prophet
Muhammad's good friends was preparing a bow and arrow when his own sword
struck him and killed him… Is he considered a Shahid or not? Did he commit
suicide? It's like the conflict today! One who exploded with a bomb. People
talk about whether or not he’s a Shahid." "They said: 'The man
died from his own weapon, and not from the weapon of the enemy.' Answered
Prophet Muhammad: 'He died in an attempt to be a holy warrior… And his reward
for that was doubled…'" Homato explains Allah blesses the "first
blood" of the suicide bomber, who "sees his place in paradise,
is shielded from the great shock and marries 72 dark-eyed maidens."
He says proper suicide bombers understand disfiguring their bodies as a
result of an attack is the "most wished for" fate of all.
more... Need I say more? If you aren't looking for this information, you won't find it reported in the mainstream news. Check out MEMRI.org and see the video clips of Islamic television from all over the Middle East. Oh that's right, Islam is a religion of peace! Well those who say this haven't listened to the ones who take the Koran seriously. They're probably like a lot of Christians who never actually read their Bibles. Islam is a religion of death, and the words of their beloved leader and holy book prove it, for those interested in actually knowing the truth of the matter. Sure not every Muslim will blow themselves up for Allah, but seeing their fellow believers do so, they remain Muslims and very few speak out against it. They either support it or are too afraid to say otherwise. Either way, it shows the true face of Islam, and it's coming to a neighborhood near you! Bush
Prepares Switch on Iraq and Downgrading of US Ties with Jordan and Israel
(November 12, 2006) - Monday, Nov. 13, former
US secretary of state James Baker and ex-Congressman Lee Hamilton will present
their recommendations on Iraq to President Bush in the Oval Office. Their
audience will include an array of top administration officials: Vice President
Dick Cheney, national security adviser Stephen Hadley, secretary of state
Condoleezza Rice, Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte and
CIA Director Gen. Mike Hayden, as well as U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Zalmay
Khalilzad and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Peter Pace. Incoming defense secretary
Robert Gates will attend as a member of the bipartisan committee. Absentees
will include outgoing defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld, who stepped down
after the Republican’s lost the Nov. 7 midterm to the Democrats over the
Iraq war, and the commanders directly running that conflict, Generals John
Abizaid and George Casey. The timing and composition of the conference indicate
that the larger decisions are already in the bag with regard to the new
US policy on Iraq and a fresh approach to the radical side of the Middle
East led by Iran and Syria, mainly at the expense of Jordan and Israel.
Monday’s White House conference will be concerned mostly with tying up the
last ends and deciding who performs which part of the revised strategy.
DEBKAfile’s Washington sources report that Israeli prime minister
Ehud Olmert, who is due Monday will be one of the first foreign White House
visitors to hear an update on the new policy. He will find he is required
to listen rather than speak. Bush will use the occasion to inform him where
America’s Iraq policy leaves Israel and the Palestinian dispute. Most of
all, the US president will be looking ahead to Wednesday, Nov, 15, when
he stops over in Moscow for unscheduled talks with Vladimir Putin. Air Force
One was originally supposed to refuel in Moscow and continue without delay
to Hanoi for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit later this week.
And the Russian president would not normally have come to the airport to
greet him. But the US president has decided to seize on the chance of persuading
Putin to jump aboard the new American format on Iraq, Iran and the Middle
East, on none of which the two leaders saw eye to eye before. The first
sign of Bush-Putin collaboration is in the air. more... Looks like the effects of the election are happening quickly. The world is blindly walking right into the trap of the principalities and powers have set for them. It will be interesting to see just how far this policy change goes to parting ways with Israel. Genesis 12:3 "And I will bless them that bless thee [Abraham/Israel], and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." I think America has been blessed for her support of Israel and I'm wary of any change in that. Watch for America's fall as soon as support for Israel ends or switches sides.
Mag. 8.3 "Bell Ringer" Slams Northern Japan, Small Tsunami Followed
(November 15, 2006) - A powerful undersea
earthquake prompted tsunami warnings Wednesday for Japan, Russia and Alaska,
but the danger appeared to pass after a series of tiny waves hit the northern
Japanese coast. Several thousand people fled to higher ground on Japan’s
northernmost island of Hokkaido. The waves, however, did not swell higher
than 16 inches and rapidly diminished in size, and Japan’s meteorological
agency later withdrew its tsunami warning after about three hours, although
it urged continued caution. A tsunami warning posted for coastal areas of
Alaska was later canceled, as were watches for the northern tip of British
Columbia and precautionary advisories for the states of Washington, Oregon
and California. A watch was in effect for Hawaii. The agency told Japanese
coastal residents to flee to higher ground after initially predicting that
a 61⁄2-foot tsunami would hit the Pacific coast of its northernmost
island of Hokkaido and main island of Honshu after 9:10 p.m. (7:10 a.m.
EST). A wave that hit the port of Nemuro on Hokkaido at 9:29 p.m. was measured
at 16 inches, and live video from the area showed calm seas. A few minutes
later, a second, 8-inch wave hit the nearby port of Kushiro, the agency
said, and the waves got progressively smaller. The Alaska Tsunami Warning
Center said a 7.8-inch wave hit Shemya Island and a 3-inch wave hit Amchitka
Island in the Aleutian chain. A magnitude 9.1-magnitude earthquake off the
coast of Indonesia on Dec. 26, 2004, caused a tsunami as high as 33 feet
that killed at least 213,000 people in 11 countries. more... Global
Warming Causing Disease to Rise (November 14,
2006) - A warmer world already seems to be producing a sicker world,
health experts reported Tuesday, citing surges in Kenya, China and Europe
of such diseases as malaria, heart ailments and dengue fever. “Climate affects
some of the most important diseases afflicting the world,” said Diarmid
Campbell-Lendrum of the World Health Organization. “The impacts may already
be significant.” Kristie L. Ebi, an American public health consultant for
the agency, warned “climate change could overwhelm public health services.”
The specialists laid out recent findings as the two-week U.N. climate conference
entered its final four days, grappling with technical issues concerning
operation of the Kyoto Protocol, and trying to set a course for future controls
on global greenhouse gas emissions. Scientists attribute at least some of
the past century’s 1-degree rise in global temperatures to the accumulation
in the atmosphere of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases, byproducts
of power plants, automobiles and other fossil fuel-burning sources. The
Kyoto accord requires 35 industrial nations — not including the United States,
which rejects the pact — to reduce such emissions by an average 5 percent
below 1990 levels by 2012. President Bush says such emissions cuts would
harm the U.S. economy and complains that poorer countries also should be
covered. more...
The Rape of Europe (October 25, 2006)
- The German author
Henryk M. Broder recently
told the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant (12 October) that young
Europeans who love freedom, better emigrate. Europe as we know it will no
longer exist 20 years from now. Whilst sitting on a terrace in Berlin, Broder
pointed to the other customers and the passers-by and said melancholically:
“We are watching the world of yesterday.” Europe is turning Muslim. As Broder
is sixty years old he is not going to emigrate himself. “I am too old,”
he said. However, he urged young people to get out and “move to Australia
or New Zealand. That is the only option they have if they want to avoid
the plagues that will turn the old continent uninhabitable.” Many Germans
and Dutch, apparently, did not wait for Broder’s advice. The number of emigrants
leaving
the Netherlands
and Germany
has already surpassed the number of immigrants moving in. One does not have
to be prophetic to predict, like Henryk Broder, that Europe is becoming
Islamic. Just consider the demographics. The number of Muslims in contemporary
Europe is estimated to be 50 million. It is expected to double in twenty
years. By 2025, one third of all European children will be born to Muslim
families. Today Mohammed is already the most popular name for new-born boys
in Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and other major European cities. Broder
is convinced that the Europeans are not willing to oppose islamization.
“The dominant ethos,” he told De Volkskrant, “is perfectly voiced
by the stupid blonde woman author with whom I recently debated. She said
that it is sometimes better to let yourself be raped than to risk serious
injuries while resisting. She said it is sometimes better to avoid fighting
than run the risk of death.” In a recent
op-ed piece in the Brussels newspaper De Standaard (23 October)
the Dutch (gay and self-declared “humanist”) author
Oscar Van den Boogaard refers to Broder’s interview. Van den Boogaard
says that to him coping with the islamization of Europe is like “a process
of mourning.” He is overwhelmed by a “feeling of sadness.” “I am not a warrior,”
he says, “but who is? I have never learned to fight for my freedom. I was
only good at enjoying it.” more... |
