Synagogue
Planned For Temple Mount, Hashemites to Add Minaret
(October 10, 2006) - MK Uri Ariel (National
Union) is drawing up plans to construct a synagogue on the Temple Mount,
Judaism’s holiest site. Jordan's King Hussein plans to build a fifth minaret
on the site as well. The synagogue would be build upon the Temple Mount,
but in an area that is indisputably not within the areas that require immersion
and other preparations, according to Jewish law. Ariel says that the synagogue
would not change the Muslim status quo on the mount, which is home to the
Al-Aksa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. “This is not a new idea,” Ariel
stressed, “it has been brought up and considered countless times since the
[1967] Six Day War [during which the Temple Mount was liberated from Jordanian
occupation –ed.].” The plan will be submitted to the Jerusalem municipality
and the Committee for Design and Construction for approval. Ariel says that
every aspect of the plan will be submitted to leading Torah scholars for
approval. more... I don't think the synagogue will happen. I believe the stone temple (minus the outer court) will be built next to the dome of the Rock. For more on that, click the Temple Mount link.
Patronizing Turkey is a dangerous game for Europe
(October 10, 2006) - Europe is doing its level
best to tell Turkey it is no longer wanted as part of the European Union.
It is a high-risk game with little to gain and a great deal to lose. How
much longer will this sec-ular, democratic, Muslim country look westwards
to a European future, instead of turning east? Take the proclamation by
Jacques Chirac, president of France, on a recent visit to Armenia. Indulging
his hosts and delighting the politically active Armenian diaspora in France,
Mr. Chirac said Turkey should recognise the massacre of hundreds of thousands
of Armenians in the turmoil of the first world war as “genocide”. In doing
so, he unilaterally created a new condition of EU membership for Turkey.
This is rather like Tony Blair popping up in Madagascar or Algeria and telling
France to apologise for the postwar massacres undertaken by French soldiers
as they put down uprisings. The Armenian massacres are a dreadful scar
in the memory of that proud people, torn apart by the many wars and foreign
interventions of the 20th century. But it was the decaying elements of the
Ottoman Empire that killed the Armenians, not the modern Turkish Republic.
If the EU is to demand apologies for historic misdeeds from its existing
members, let alone potential members, then it may as well dissolve itself.
After Mr Chirac’s statement, Olli Rehn, EU enlargement commissioner, reiterated
that recognition of a genocide is not an official precondition of membership.
It was a welcome correction. But how do you explain away the European Commission
president, José Manuel Barroso, saying that the era of EU enlargement is
over? more... I guess I'm not the only one who realizes the reality of Turkey's anti-west Muslim core. Nor am I the only one who realizes the danger of Islam to the world. Expect true Christianity for it's dogmatic beliefs to be further shunned and vilified. Jews and true Christians are on the same side believing in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The other side is Islam, only Islam is a religion of death and lies. Yahweh is a God of Love and peace. God is love. But those without the peace of God fear death. Islam uses that to its advantage, picking off the weak in spirit and using fear tactics to force into submission all those who stand in their stated path of global domination. If you think I'm making that up, click on the Islam link above. You'll have the opportunity to view some video clips of exactly what the leaders of these religions are planning and promising with great religious fervor. So regardless of political veils, the core of these Muslim nations is still in control because religion is the learning of the life after death, who is in charge, and what the future holds. That will always be more powerful a movement than the secular non-religious governments of the West. As long as people fear death, a religion like Islam will try to dominate. It's written in their holy book. It's what makes them blindly strap explosives to their chest and kill innocent people. As we've seen, this kind of fearlessness mixed with aggression is like a cancer. It moves into an area and pushes aside all the good tissue creating an area that keeps growing as the spiritual darkness that controls the religion begins to affect those in the area, drawing them into it with lies about the afterlife. So there is good reason for Europe to be very afraid of shunning a nation filled with Muslims who believe they're in the end-times. Fearless people who want to convert or kill you and who are not afraid to die are a very bad combination. And the spiritual head is a lot older, more cunning, crafty, intelligent, and hates our guts. Without Yeshua, they have a lot to be afraid of. Russia Arming North Korea and Iran: Putin has joined the "Axis of Evil" Joel C. Rosenberg Blog (October 10, 2006) - In Epicenter, I document how aggressively Russian President Vladimir Putin has been building strong personal and political ties to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and selling billions of dollars worth of arms, nuclear technology and nuclear facilities to the radical Islamic regime in Iran. But there's more to the story. Putin has been simultaneously building strong personal and political ties to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il and selling billions of dollars worth of arms to the radical Communist regime in Pyongyang. In so doing, Putin has willfully chosen to join the "Axis of Evil" and appears determined to help America's worst enemies go nuclear and arm themselves for war. Details coming.... An Image of Real Forgiveness and a Picture of What Christianity is All About (October 9, 2006) - Dozens of Amish neighbors came out Saturday to mourn the quiet milkman who killed five of their young girls and wounded five more in a brief, unfathomable rampage. Charles Carl Roberts IV, 32, was buried in his wife's family plot behind a small Methodist church, a few miles from the one-room schoolhouse he stormed Monday. His wife, Marie, and their three small children looked on as Roberts was buried beside the pink, heart-shaped grave of the infant daughter whose death nine years ago apparently haunted him, said Bruce Porter, a fire department chaplain from Colorado who attended the service. About half of perhaps 75 mourners on hand were Amish. "It's the love, the forgiveness, the heartfelt forgiveness they have toward the family. I broke down and cried seeing it displayed," said Porter, who had come to Pennsylvania to offer what help he could. He said Marie Roberts was also touched. "She was absolutely deeply moved, by just the love shown," Porter said. Leaders of the local Amish community were gathering Saturday afternoon at a firehouse to decide the future of the schoolhouse, and of the school year itself. The prevailing wisdom suggested a new school would be built. more... I never really paid much attention to the Amish. But I have to say I'm very impressed with their faith and forgiveness. It truly has the fingerprints of God. Sharp Putin Critic Murdered in Moscow: 43rd journalist killed in Russia since '93 Joel C. Rosenberg Blog (October 8, 2006) - London Times report from Moscow: "Russia's most famous investigative reporter, Anna Politkovskaya, was gunned down in the lift of her Moscow apartment block yesterday in an apparent contract killing. A fearless opponent of Russia’s wars in Chechnya who once described President Vladimir Putin as a 'KGB snoop' and compared him to Stalin, she was shot as she returned home from a shopping trip at 4.30pm. A pistol and four bullets were found near her body." Reuters report: "'The first thing that comes to mind is that Anna was killed for her professional activities. We don't see any other motive for this terrible crime,' said Vitaly Yaroshevsky, a deputy editor of the newspaper where Politkovskaya worked....Former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, a shareholder in Politkovskaya's newspaper Novaya Gazeta, called the killing a 'savage crime.' 'It is a blow to the entire democratic, independent press,' Gorbachev told Interfax news agency. 'It is a grave crime against the country, against all of us.' In the days before her death, Politkovskaya had been working on a story about torture in Chechnya, which was expected to be published on Monday, her newspaper said....Politkovskaya was a fierce critic of Putin, whom she accused of stifling freedom and failing to shake off his past as a KGB agent. 'I dislike him for ... his cynicism, for his racism, for his lies ... for the massacre of the innocents which went on throughout his first term as president,' she wrote in her book Putin's Russia which was published overseas but not in Russia. Her death came on the day Putin turned 54." I guess this shows the condition of Russia right now. They certainly sound like they've been infected by their alliances with Iran and pals. DEBKAfile’s sources: Tehran and Damascus are gearing up for a pre-emptive Syrian attack on Israel to ward off a US strike on Iran’s nuclear sites (October 7, 2006) - Our military and Washington sources read as preparatory justification the Syrian ruler Bashar Asad’s statement Saturday, Oct. 7, that he expects an Israeli attack. He was speaking in an interview to Kuwaiti paper al-Anba. Asad’s Iranian-backed war plan would serve the purpose of forcing the Americans to divide their military assets between a strike against Iran and the defense of their allies in the Persia Gulf, Israel and US forces in Iraq. Both are seriously looking at a Syrian attack on the Golan which would escalate into a full-blown Syrian-Israeli war and a second Hizballah assault from Lebanon. Asad’s remark that during the Lebanon hostilities, he was under pressure from the Syrian population to go to war against Israel and liberate the Golan is the most direct threat of belligerency of all his four Golan statements in the last month. He is implying that he stood up to the pressure once but may not do so again. And for the benefit of the Americans, the Europeans, the Saudis and the Egyptians - all of whom are pretty fed up with him – Asad is posing as the picture of self-restraint; anyone else in his place, he implies, would have taken advantage of the Lebanon war and made a grab for the Golan. Therefore, he is saying, he deserves to be treated with the respect due to a strategic asset by Western and moderate Arab powers instead of being targeted for an ouster. The Syrian ruler would not threaten war without guarantees from Iran. According to DEBKAfile’s sources, Asad and Iran’s supreme ruler Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are prompted by the following motives:
Iran, Syria and Hizballah would not be averse to disrupting the American
Iraq timeline by attacking Israel and putting the Bush administration on
the spot, forced to address three warfronts simultaneously. more... This could be Israel's reason to pre-empt the Syrian-Iranian pre-emption and we could see the destruction of Damascus in Isaiah 17. This could be the hooks in the jaws" that brings Iran, Russia, Turkey, and the other players against Israel fulfilling Ezekiel 38,39. This in turn could help allow the Jews to rebuild the temple on the Temple Mount. This, of course, sets the stage for the revealing of the man of sin, the abomination of desolation. Keep watching!
DEBKA Exclusive: Moscow posts two Chechen platoons in S. Lebanon, one headed
by an ex-rebel commander, “to improve Russia’s image in the Arab world”
(October 7, 2006) - The Muslim commandoes
of the Vostok (East) and Zapad (West) battalions of the Russian Army’s Main
Intelligence Directorate (GRU) (picture) are being sent to guard the 150
Russian military engineers. They arrived in Beirut this week to restore
the roads in Lebanon damaged by Israeli bombing. DEBKAfile reports: Moscow
did not consult Israel before stationing Muslim Chechen troops on its border
for the first time. Russian defense minister Sergei Ivanov said openly to
Russian media that the deployment of former rebel Chechen troops in Lebanon
aimed at “improving Moscow’s image in the Arab and Muslim world.”
more... We see where Russia's loyalties are being laid out for, Islam. Can they possibly be effective peacekeeping troops? No, and as we will see, according to Bible prophecy, they will attack Israel and will be wiped out in the mountains of Israel. Ezekiel 38,39 When this happens, tell everyone you have a relationship with. The Bible foretelling this almost 2,600 years before its fulfillment. And if I'm right about how it will happen, it will come from space so it will have to have been timed just right so that debris in space would hit those areas of earth that the armies happened to be traveling on to attack Israel at this particular point in space-time. This is only something God can do, and the idea that it's all a coincidence? Ridiculous. Calculate the odds. I really think this will all go down before the year is out, but only time will tell. For now, pray for the lost and get close to Christ. We don't need to freak out, because our fate as Christians is one of eternal joy. It is our job to share that message of hope with the lost. We need to focus our energies on that and God will guide and protect us through whatever may come our way. He will never leave or forsake us.
High Hopes For German EU Period link no longer
works text pulled from
Anna's blog (September 18, 2006)
- Germany takes over the rotating six-month European Union presidency in
2007, a role burdened by outsized expectations from the rest of the continent,
experts say. 'The expectations for the German presidency are huge,' Andreas
Maurer, EU expert at the German Institute for International and Security
Affairs, a Berlin-based think tank, Wednesday told United Press International
in a telephone interview. 'Everybody is expecting that Berlin will make
a big difference.' The heightened pressures come as no surprise: The German
grand coalition government is the only one really functioning among the
big three countries in Europe. In France, everyone looks at the race for
President Jacques Chirac`s successor; and in Britain, calls for Prime Minister
Tony Blair`s retirement are becoming louder by the day. Germany will deliver
a declaration on the status of Europe during its presidency, which falls
into the period of the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of
Rome, the document that gave birth to what later became the EU. That paper
will likely try to revive the lifeless constitution. Aside
from the 800-pound gorilla that is the constitution, Germany may tackle
several other pressing issues, chief of which is a more visible EU foreign
and security policy. In what would be the first such move, Berlin could
name Javier Solana, the EU`s current foreign policy chief, to preside over
the council of ministers, instead of Steinmeier, Maurer said. Solana`s role
in the Lebanon conflict was severely impaired by the fact that he was not
able to make his own decisions, as the EU was not united on whether to immediately
call for a cease-fire or not. A 'real' foreign minister could make his own
decisions and may speed up the process of finding a common position on similar
problems in the future, observers say. This would certainly place Javier Solana as the power player over what he already is. He is currently, Secretary General of the European Union, Secretary General of the Western European Union, Office of the High Representative of the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union, and Chairman of the Political Security Committee for the European Union. That's already a lot of power and control for one man over all the European nations. More than that, they're all giving him this power like crazy. This would fit right in. Revelation 17:12,13 Also, 2007 is the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, also referred to as the treaty establishing the European Economic Community, signed on March 25, 1957. (thanks to 4givenmuch for pointing that out.)
Strong quake shakes northern Japan, no tsunami warning issued
(October 11, 2006) - An earthquake with a
preliminary magnitude of 6.0 shook northern Japan Wednesday morning, but
it had nothing to do with reports of a possible nuclear test by North Korea,
the Meteorological Agency said. The quake, which struck at 8:58 a.m. (2358
GMT Tuesday), was centered off the coast of Fukushima. Fukushima is 240
kilometers (150 miles) northeast of Tokyo, the agency said in a statement.
There were no danger of tsunami, it said. Agency official Yukihiro Watanabe
said that the tremor was a genuine quake centered near Japan and had nothing
to do with reports of Pyongyang's possible second nuclear test.

Ash from Philippine volcano blankets two towns
(October 11, 2006) - Ash from a central Philippine
volcano blanketed eight villages and parts of two towns on Wednesday but
scientists said an eruption was unlikely. Mount Bulusan blasted a thick
column of ash three kilometers (1.8 miles) into the sky late Tuesday, after
nearly four months of relative calm, alarming residents of nearby villages,
officials said. Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology director
Renato Solidum said the ash was blown toward the nearby towns of Irosin
and Bulusan, and that at least eight villages were blanketed in up to 5
mm (0.2 inches) of ash. Solidum said there has been no other activity since
the ash explosion, and the institute maintained the lowest alert level for
the volcano. more...
El Salvador declares alert after volcano begins rumbling
(October 11, 2006) - Authorities in El Salvador
declared an alert on Tuesday for an area around the Chaparrastique volcano
after the peak began rumbling ominously. Interior Minister Rene Figueroa
urged about 45,000 people who live within an area roughly 4 square kilometers
(1.4 square miles) around the peak to be ready for a possible call for evacuations.
Seismologist Carlos Pullinger said the volcano had been experiencing relatively
small, imperceptible tremors for days, but that in the last several hours
had emitted “continuous, abnormal vibrations.” Such vibrations are sometimes
observed before an eruption. The 2,129-meter (7,025-foot) volcano, located
about 145 kilometers (90 miles) east of San Salvador, the capital, erupted
in 1976. San Miguel, one of the country's largest cities, is located 50
kilometers (30 miles) from the volcano. more... Volcanoes are waking up all around the ring of fire. There's some good links to see what I'm talking about on the earth changes link. Map
North Korea sees U.S. pressure as act of war
(October 11, 2006) - North Korea said it sees U.S. pressure to reign
in its nuclear weapons programme as a declaration of war, its official media
said on Wednesday. North Korea is prepared for both dialogue and confrontation,
its KCNA news agency quoted a Foreign Ministry spokesman as saying. "If
the U.S. continues to hassle us and add pressure, we will consider this
as a declaration of war and subsequently take physical measures."
Call for Israel to leave Shebaa farms area (October
11, 2006) - Hizbullah will resume its military campaign against Israel
unless it withdraws from the disputed Shebaa farms area and other pockets
of territory occupied during this summer’s 34-day war, Nabih Berri, speaker
of the Lebanese parliament, has warned. “If Israel does not pull out we
will have to drive them out,” said Mr Berri, who acted as a link to the
militant organisation during this summer’s war with Israel, in an interview
with the Guardian. Hizbullah will remain armed and fully operational in
south Lebanon, despite the newly-deployed UN forces, until Israel withdraws
from all Lebanese territory and ceases its ongoing air, sea and land violations,
Mr Berri added. “The Unifil presence will not hinder Hizbullah's defensive
operations. The resistance doesn't need to fly its flags high to operate,
it's a guerrilla movement; it operates among the people,” he said.

Syria: Establish Arab Defense Alliance (October
10, 2006) - Syrian sources in Damascus claimed that Syria was looking
into an initiative that would renew the “Arab Joint Defense Treaty”, under
which new systems would be established, binding member countries to defend
other member countries that are under attack. According to sources, the
Syrian initiative would be discussed by the highest grade of the Arab League,
and would then be transferred to decision-making members in the League’s
Summit committee meeting. Syrian sources told Qatari newspaper “Al Watan”
that Damascus was already assembling a group of diplomats and legal and
international experts to examine the wording and clauses of the treaty.
It was also reported that efforts were being made in Damascus to revive
the Syrian-Egyptian-Saudi axis, needed for consultations and closer contact
between the countries. In the meantime, Syria insisted on taking the possible
outbreak of war with Israel seriously. “Al Watan” claimed that the “Israeli
aggression” that increased following the Lebanon war, was meant to intimidate
Damascus, and to pressure it into looking weak and ridiculous, military
speaking. more... Syria's looking for alliances and is prophesied to be destroyed. If Israel does this, then it would draw in all those who are allied with Syria to attack Israel.
Jews at Risk as Turkey Goes Radical (October
10, 2006) - Throughout the centuries, the sultans of Ottoman Turkey
never issued edicts, firmans or fatwahs against the Jewish
people living in their dominions. In the modern Republic of Turkey, the
same holds true. Yet, an alarming situation existing today threatens to
change the historic course of Turko-Jewish relations. The Turkish Muslims,
long known for their hospitality and peacefulness towards the Jewish people,
are quickly being radicalized by the introduction of Nazi-inspired Arab
zealotry against the Jews. With the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in the
early twentieth century, the Jews continued to remain close to the Turkish
people. In 1923, President Mustafa Kemal Ataturk declared, "Our country
has some elements who gave the proof of their fidelity to the motherland.
Among them, I have to mention the Jewish element; up to now, the Jews have
lived in happiness and from now they will rejoice and will be happy."
Today, the tide is turning, and the Turkish land that for so long remained
a bastion of peace for the Jews is rapidly becoming a playground for the
Islamo-facists that feed off of ferocious propaganda being disseminated
from Arab countries and Iran. Attacks, violence and anti-Jewish graffiti
is becoming more and more common in Turkish cities. Pro-Iranian ideas have
infiltrated Turkey, a country that has been a time-honored adversary of
the Persian nation. The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs stated
in the Chicago Sun-Times last week that "Turkey has adopted
the role of defending Islam against the West, defending Iran...."
more... More evidence that Turkey is not the friendly neighbor the political world would like to deceive themselves into believing. They're trying so hard for peace that they're ignoring the deadly nature of this game they're playing. Anti-Semitism is a fingerprint of the enemy. From ever since Israel was called out as a nation by God to Hitler and Islam, they all have it, that desire to wipe out Israel. It all started with the promise that our Savior would come from the Jews. Ever since then, Lucifer has been after the woman.
Israel on alert for Syrian attack (October 9,
2006) - In spite of assertions by some officials here to the contrary,
Israel has placed its forces in the Golan Heights bordering Syria on heightened
alert for possible confrontations following a series of statements by Syrian
President Bashar Assad that his military is preparing for war with the Jewish
state, WND has learned. Military officials, speaking on condition of anonymity,
say the Israeli Defense Forces have fortified their positions in the Golan,
including increasing security at checkpoints and the stationing of larger
troop numbers at key areas throughout the territory. Also, the officials
said, the IDF has reinforced security fences on the Israeli side of the
border. The IDF has not moved in additional heavy weaponry, tanks, or troop
divisions for fear of startling Syria, the officials said. "We are
taking Assad's threats very seriously and are cautiously increasing our
level of alertness for a possible provocation by Syria," a military
official said. The official said Israel placed troops in the Golan on heightened
alert during the 34-day war against Hezbollah in Lebanon that began July
12, but the alert level was raised in recent weeks following militant statements
by Assad and Israeli intelligence warnings of indications Syria may be bracing
for a conflict. more... This could be where it starts. Israel has already threatened to attack Damascus. I'm positive that on the Islamic leadership side, they're planning to attack Israel. Russian and Turkish Muslim troops are now pouring into Southern Lebanon, which is on the Northern border of Israel. That's where Gog/Magog all starts, an invasion by Turkish, Russian, and Persian (Iranian) troops. If Israel gets a whiff of this and the leadership is in Damascus, they might just fulfill Isaiah 17.
Take This Congress and Shove It (October 9, 2006)
- With multiple scandals cascading through the United States Congress, when
will the peoples’ business get done? How long before we see results that
benefit our citizens? Every time we turn around, we read about another indignity,
another breakdown of integrity, another senator or House representative
committing a crime or sexual indecency. They solicit 16 year old pages in
the House chambers, take bribes and run off on paid weekends to Scotland.
They launder money, drive drunk and make Pinocchio look like an angel. I
wish I lived in Oregon I would vote for
Mary Starrett.
She's the only honest candidate running for governor. I’m sick of it! I’m
spittin’ angry! I’m totally fed up! I want to bust a couple dozen of them
in the chops to make them pay for their ineptitude and indecency stampeding
through our Congress. Representative Mark Foley of Florida, sick in the
head and sick in his morals, got caught for his licentious behavior and
indecency. For God sakes, the man solicited 16 year old pages working with
all their idealism in the Halls of Congress. What did those kids discover?
We’ve elected some sexual perverts to serve the public trust in Washington,
DC. How many like Foley haven’t been exposed? What about Congressman Duke
Cunningham last year taking $2.4 million in bribes from contractors? This
guy swore on a Bible to serve American citizens after defending this nation
as a fighter pilot. Instead of being a public servant, he now serves eight
years in federal prison—on our dime! Texas Congressman Tom DeLay promised
to uphold the U.S. Constitution, but instead--laundered money, lied, cheated
and stole from the American taxpayer. How about Jack Abramoff the million
dollar lobbyist in Washington, DC? Do you have any idea of the amounts of
money and the fraudulent influence pedaling that snake-in-the-grass wielded?
That scoundrel pedaled his money and power to dozens of senators and congressman.
When caught, all guilty parties in Congress protect each other. We’ll never
know the depth of his crimes, but I’m willing to bet the Pacific Ocean isn’t
as deep. Has a single senator or congressman stepped up to write a law to
stop lobbyists from plying their trade against the American taxpayer? You
might as well wait until hell freezes over. Where is representation of American
citizens instead of money interests? more... I have to admit I feel helpless with politics. It's all a game and I don't want to play it. It's a waste of time now because clearly corruption and the pocketbook is in control because our nation is going down the tubes and the people who can steer us away are more concerned about social programs and accepting everyone and everything. There are some things in this world that you need to stay away from because you become what you are around if you aren't awake, and from what I see in this country, the majority are fast asleep. Most of them swat you away when you try to wake them up, so I've focused on understanding Bible prophecy because I believe it will come to pass. And when it does, people will start to realize what time it is and wake up. Then I will be there to catch them up on what they slept through and bring them to a better relationship with the One who created them. But I'm not of this world because Christ has chosen me out of it. The best thing we can do for this nation is pray for it's people to wake up and search for God. Then maybe we'll have a chance. Until then, keep trying to wake them up. ZZZzzzzz..... |
