Israel to Syria: Hizbullah Is Your Responsibility

Israel views the Lebanon-based Hizbullah terrorist organization as a Syrian entity and will hold Damascus responsible for its actions according to a report in the UK�s Sunday Times. Citing an unnamed Israeli cabinet minister, speaking off-the-record, the newspaper claims Syrian President Bashar Al-Asad was sent a secret message last month in which he was told that Israel views Hizbullah as a branch of the Syrian military and, accordingly, will retaliate directly against Syria for any violent acts by Hizbullah. The report follows Israeli claims, apparently supported by the US, that Syria has supplied Hizbullah with Scud missiles capable of reaching deep into the Israeli heartland.
