Irish Support for Lisbon Treaty 62%, Business Post Poll Shows

Irish support for the Lisbon Treaty rose to 62 percent from 59 percent, a poll commissioned by the Sunday Business Post signaled. Opposition fell to 23 percent from 25 percent, the Dublin-based newspaper said, citing a survey of 1,005 people between Sept. 7 and Sept. 9. The poll had a margin of error of 3 percent. The earlier poll took place in May. Ireland votes on the treaty for a second time on Oct. 2.
