Episode 10: The Restrainer
“And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed” | Paul, 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8a
Synopsis
There are varying views on the restraining force that keeps the false christ at bay until God's timing. This study is an examination not just of the identity of this restrainer, but also the events surrounding the pivotal time of the revealing of the man of sin and the following persecution as he sets up his kingdom from Jerusalem.
In this short Bible study, we will dig into the details of the primary suggested identities and see what the scriptures have to say about not only who the restrainer is, but some key pieces to understanding the events surrounding that time.
